Accept To Debut Their New Lineup In New York City

Accept will debut their new lineup — featuring the band's latest
addition, vocalist Mark Tornillo (ex-TT Quick) — on May 8th at New York
City's Gramercy Theatre. "We can't wait to go out and play again," said bassist Peter Baltes.
"Just because [former Accept singer] Udo Dirkschneider isn't available
to take part in the reunion doesn't mean we'll have to sit idle any
longer. We feel Mark is the perfect fit. Mark is an experienced veteran
singer who is aware of the Accept legacy and his voice fits the sound
of Accept perfectly. "Wolf [Hoffmann, guitar] and I have always been the songwriting team —
most of the classic Accept tunes were written that way; together with
Deaffy, a.k.a. Gaby Hoffmann, as a lyricist." Accept has just completed recording its new album at Backstage Studio
in Derbyshire, England with British producer and Sabbat guitarist Andy
Sneap. The as-yet-untitled album — which will feature the recording
debut of Tornillo — will include around 14 songs and be released in the
spring of 2010 through an as-yet-undetermined record label. Tentative
songtitles set to appear on the CD include "The Abyss," "Locked &
Loaded," "Shades Of Death," "No Shelter," "Blood Of Nations,"
"Pandemic" and "Teutonic Terror." Discussing the addition of Tornillo to Accept, Hoffmann has said, "It
all happened in minutes. Peter and I were working on some tunes in a
studio in New Jersey. Somebody suggested we give this guy Mark a call
to see if he would join us on vocals. So when he arrived we started
jamming on some old Accept tunes — just for fun. As soon as Mark
started singing we looked at each other and realized the impossible
just happened: we found a new voice for AcceptT! The timing could not
have been better! Now or never... We are re-energized and excited..." Accept's current lineup is: Wolf Hoffmann: Guitar

I did catch it this morning! I was an Accept fan so I am curious to hear this new incarnation. Have to say I was not familiar with TT Quick? Good Band? Are they in the same vein as Accept?

I caught TT Quick a few times when I was doing the 5 guys in a chevy van tour throughout various club circuits back in the mid 1980's. I have Medal of Honor and the S/T Ep on vinyl. I don't think this guy was singing back then.

I just saw it, and honestly it was a bit pointless to have these guys on the show. They just acknowledged they had a new singer to replace Udo, but nothing on the new album, nothing on a tour. This should be a one hour show.

So who's going to the show?!

I am not even going to see them in ATL in September. Never have been a fan of this band.

Got to meet some of the band last night. Mark was incredible. The show was off the hook, and just amazing. The two new songs they played sound heavy as hell, and are better than anything Udo ever did in his solo career
Awesome stuff. They played a long set...of like, 22-23 songs, lasted over 2 hours.

I seen some of the footage on youtube and was very impressed! Now they gotta hit Vegas!

Waiting with extreme anticipation for the new album. I heard one new song "The Abyss" and Mark slays on that one. Great voice, powerfull as all hell.

Sounds pretty good to me. Kinda funny to see Baltes is still using that same beat-up bass guitar he's been playing since the band's early days.

This is real heavy metal, man. Teutonic Terror is amazing.
