It's insane, but at the same time, it makes total sense for a guy who is such a sci-fi/fantasy/horror icon.

There's a great book called "Franks, Romans, Feudalism, and Doctrine: An Interplay between Theology and Society by Ioannes S. Romanides that will probably go great with this subject.

I agree too. But I give the old geezer props for attempting something metal at least. Can't throw any rotten tomatoes at him. He's trying.

If this was the latest Rhapsody of Fire album though - I'd be pissed.

I saw this on Blabbermouth and I think some of it doesn't sound to bad. That 'Verdict of Vernen' or whatever track sounds pretty fun. "I SHED THE BLOOD OF A SAXON MAN!" It sounds utterly ridiculous, but I'm sure it'll be worth a listen or two.

I won't be buying it, but I do give him props for it.

Manowar knows they're screwed. The can't compete with the awesomeness of Christopher "Metal" Lee.

I'm not sure if the term "Metal" even applies, but I will have to get this just because he's a god.

Movie veteran Sir Christopher Lee is reinventing himself as a metal singer - at the age of 87, reports WENN.com.
The "Lord of the Rings" star has provided the vocals for a symphonic metal concept album which recounts the life of the first Roman Emperor King Charlemagne, who reigned in the eighth and ninth centuries.
Lee chose the project because he is a direct descendant of Charlemagne - and he's thrilled to have the chance to take his career in a different direction.
The actor says, "It's fascinating for me that, at this stage in my life, people are beginning to look upon me as a metal singer. When this comes out as a complete album, it's going to be sensational.
"There's a lot of characters in this particular album... There's Charlemagne himself, of course, which I sing, and then there's young Charlemagne, Charlemagne's father, Charlemagne's brother... (even) the Pope."
The album, "Charlemagne: By The Sword And The Cross," has been produced by Italian composer Marco Sabiu and is due for release on March 15th.

Christopher Lee is one of my favorite actors of all-time. I grew up worshiping the Hammer Films and Lee is one of the main reasons for that.

Let's give the guy some kudos for TRYING NEW STUFF AT HIS AGE!
