Once Dead Recording New Album

I hope this recording goes a lot smoother than the Visions of Hell album. Is the guy from Precious Death on drums? I'm surprised they didn't use Jim Chaffin again. Deliverance isn't a full time gig.

For some reason I thought the band had split up.

This better be good!!! I am not into the vocalists style at all so far. I know it will be better than the last album because that vocalist is horrendous. To me though, the new vocalist isn't much better from what I have heard from his other band. I hope I am surprised.

Not a big fan of the vocalist’s style either. Hopefully the vocals don’t take away from the music and it leads to a pleasant surprise.

I know, me too. Chaffin was EXCELLENT on that last Deliverance album. I'd like to hear the reason.

I don't understand all the commentary about vocals. Who cares. That's not what this band is about. This is coming from a big fan of Vio-lence.

I was reading on Facebook were Larry and Doug were writing similar to the first album with lots of bluesy solos. Sounds good to me! Looking forward to it.

They should have brought one of the Sacrament vocalists out of retirement. Either one of the guys would sound great in Vengeance.

I am a fan of Vio-Lence too. It's a matter of liking the vocals. When I hear a band, the vocals are a big part of it. So who cares?? I do. I want to like it.

Agreed! When I hear about bands getting back together to record, I often think about how cool it would be for the Sacrament crew to get back together for a new album. In terms of vocals, I care as well. A lot! Vocals are the most important instrument as far as I’m concerned. I can typically tell within about 20 seconds of the vocals starting if I’m going to like a song/band/album, regardless of how good the music is. Personally, I wouldn’t be a fan of Scott either, as I’m not a fan of his style, but that is just me. Just want some discernible aggression with some variation to accent the music, not detract from it.

I saw Scott sing with them at the first UFTA, it memory serves me correct? Haven't cared much for the recorded output since. A band needs chemistry(IMHDO) & they seem to have that "let's email it" vibe . Hope the best for Doug and Larry, great guys! Shout out to all is old Sanctuary-ites!
