Should I accept Sodom - M-16 in a trade????

It's beeing offered in a trade.

Pros/Cons?

Just get it. It's good.

I'm not a fan, so I'd say skip it for something else. Are you familiar with Sodom at all? You're a big power metal guy. Sodom might be a little too gruff for your virginal ears.

Thats the best Sodom album in my opinion. I would get it if I was you Scott.

M-16 is balls-to-the-wall no-frills German thrash.

It's not bad but I didn't know you were into semi-crusty thrash. Depends on what you're trading away I guess.

I think it's a great album. If you like thrash metal I don't think you will be disappointed.

I'm a HUGE Sodom fan. I have every album they have ever released.

And this one would be in my top 5 faves from them.

Glad you got it. If you love thrash in general, you'll find much to enjoy here.

If you like it, you must track down their best three:

Agent Orange
Tapping the Vein
and
Better Off Dead


Those are usually the three I recommend to folks looking to get into this band.

I like all their albums though.

Definitely a great thrash album. Lots of class tracks on there, especially 'Napalm In The Morning'. Also, the 'Surfin' Bird' cover is hilarious.

It's Sodom. You like thrash, you like Sodom, if you don't like Sodom, you don't like thrash. Sodom creates excellent thrash at a logical apex of the style while staying firmly within the genre and it's occasional outskirts (re: crust).

Their mid-90s albums really went into punk territory though. Still quite good, but those are their weakest albums IMHO.

I would only recommend those albums to fans only. Not a great place to start a Sodom collection with. If I had heard those albums first, chances are, I wouldn't be the fan I am today.

hmmmmm and yeah I love power metal too, of every branch.. Different music appeals to different moods, senses. He'll dig it..the power metal guys are typically the open-minded ones. It's the only-the-classics people you gotta watch out for.....and Toho.
