LOL!!!! The show was rescheduled to Wednesday due to the "weather" - I gues she was too drunk to perform tonight. He;s doing mostly songs from the first two Maiden albums on this tour. Icarus Witch is the opening act and his backing band.

Let me know how Dianno is I'm curious! I dont know any of his solo stuff either but was a little eager to hear him do Maiden since he was doing a lot this time! Plus I was mainly going for Anger as Art the support band!

So I saw Saint Vitus and three other bands Sunday... and it was amazing!

First up were Old Season, a folky epic/doom band from Ireland. I never heard these guys before, but their performance really impressed. Their sound is reminiscent of bands like Solitude Aeturnus and Doomsword, but with a folky streak. The singer had an awesome commanding voice, the rhythm section was spot on and the guitars were really heavy and galloping. Great band!

Next were The Lamp of Thoth, one of my favorite doom bands of the last ten years or so. There's not a whole lot to say, just that they were AMAZING! Definitely one of the heaviest bands I've ever seen live. I already love 'em on CD, but live they were just mindblowing. Everything was just the way it was supposed to be. Can't wait to see them live again in April.

Then were Centurion's Ghost. Never was a big fan of 'em, so I watched a song, decided it was crap, and went off to get something to eat.

Last but not least... Saint Vitus. Wow. It was amazing. I never was a big fan of their material with Wino, but man, did he deliver the goods! It was definitely one of the best gigs I've ever seen. I was just standing there for an hour with a huge smile on my face. Hope they'll come back next year... with Scott Reagers on vokills.

Suzy Bogguss in Orlando on March 20th. I've always wanted to see her at this is a rare treat to have her this far south.

Seeing AC/DC 2 days ago it was a killer concert only thing they should of done was play more songs!!!

I have tickets to three upcoming concerts:

Skyclad, Gamma Ray and Blaze Bayley (on separate nights). Skyclad plays March 20th. I don't remember the others right now. Gamma Ray also in March though. Blaze in April? There's other bands, too, Skyclad has Bal-Sagoth on the bill. Gamma Ray Freedom Call.

I may go see Black Dhalia Murder on March 5, but it will only be to see Obscura, who is opening. not really a BDM fan. Haven't heard Obscura either, but I hear good things.

Kreater is coming here on March 25, and I have to go to that.

then Megadeth/Testament/Exodus on the 30th.

I made a habit as a younger man to go see every band I could, especially ones I'd never heard or heard of. Alot of times, a musician would play in one band to make ends meet and have something else on the side. Unless one conversed and inquired, you remained merely a spectator and not an involved party in a musical endeavor. Those were the days.
