what are your favorite Ozzy albums?

What are they? Also, does anyone else besides myself like Ozzy's newer albums?

I like all of his albums, some better than others, even the much criticized 'Ozzmois" had some great songs on them.


Also Ozzy has worked with some of the greatest guitarist in metal history, not including Iommi, his band has introduced us to Randy Rhoads, Brad Gillis, Jake E Lee, and Zakk Wylde, not a slouch among them.

All of them were pretty spotty IMO, and built around only a couple of great songs with lots of filler in between. I never found one to be all that consistent. Still, here's my list, the top ones being the ones I think had the least filler:

8. Ozzmosis

Ozzmosis - my # 1 Ozzy album

Though the box set is good too and I do dig other ozzy albums when I spin Ozzy its either ozzmosis or the Essential Ozzy or the box set

Though Ive yet to hear Black Rain

No More Tears is one my favorite albums of all time. Every song except Zombie Stomp is a solid 5 (ZS is not a bad song but doesn't quite equal the rest).

The other Ozzy albums I know are good albums but there is at least 1 or 2 songs I could do without (mainly the ballads-most of the early ones were very weak). Those albums are Blizzard Of Ozz, Bark At The Moon, and Dialry Of A Madman (the last one is the closest to No More Tears in likability-You Can't Kill Rock & Roll is my favorite Ozzy song).

I like 'em all. I really dig Ozzmosis, though I know most fans don't for some reason. I thought Black Rain sounded a lot like Black Label Society.

I do agree with ULT that Black Rain sounded more like a Black Label Society CD then a Ozzy Osbourne solo disc, thankfully I am also a Black Label fan.

Well, he only has two, and I like them in the following order:

Diary/Blizzard - tie
Bark At The Moon
Ultimate Sin
Speak Of The Devil
then No More Tears/No Rest

Ozzmosis was OK then he kind of lost me

Blizzard and Diary ties and Bark second. Dont care for any others.

I really do like Ozzy's newer albums, Ozzmosis, Down To Earth. I actually saw Ozzy live at Bodokan on the Down To Earth tour, and I like Black Rain more with every spin.

I'm really looking forward to his new cd. The title is Soul Sucka and Gus G. is his new guitarist. Plus, his autobiography comes out next year.

Yeah, I actually like "Black Rain" quite well. It's actually pretty underrated.

I like all of Ozzy's albums to varying degrees. He doesn't have a bad one. I'm a pretty loyal fan though. Have been since I was a wee lad.
