| I broke out Heathen's last album, "Recovered" today. Great platter - especially for a re-recording/covers album. Anyone have this album? Thoughts? Who here likes Heathen? Let's discuss this underrated thrash band from the Bay Area. | |

| Oh ... and who is planning on picking up their new album? It's called "The Evolution of Chaos" and comes out January 25th, 2010. This is one of my most looked-forward to albums of next year to be sure!!! | |

| Absolutely love Heathen and I (selfishly) wish they would stop pushng back the release of their new cd. Victims of Deception (which Recovered has a lot of the demos from this album) is still probably one of my 'most spun' discs. They are definitely one of the most underappreciated thrash bands. Never understood why.Their two studio discs can stand with any two consecutive cds from any other band--IMO. (Along with Atrophy and the first two Xentrix albums--but that's a different thread). I hope the new cd is what a lot of thrashers will be expecting, as there is so much great new thrash out there (yes, I love all the 'newbie thrashers'). Peace. | |

| I like 'em well enough. It wouldn't be a priority, but I'd certainly give the new disc a shot. Why not? I need to upgrade their discs. I only have Recovered as a real cd. The other 2 are only cdr's that I burned from the band's website awhile back when they offered up free downloads. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| I hope the new album kills too. You gotta admit though, that's a pretty dam cool album cover. Looks like a classic thrash cover to me. I bet we won't be disappointed. | |

I need to upgade those first two too. I thought they were long out of print though. Can a person find them at a reasonable price anywhere?

Amazon has them at fairly reasonable rates (under $20) from second-hand sellers. Apparently they were re-released through Century Media back in '07. I'm a self-confessed cheap-a$$ though, so until those prices dip under $10, I'll stick with my cdrs. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | I have seen VoD at Amazon and it was also re-issued a while back. You may have the best luck at 'indie stores' that stock lots of metal (do those still exist? haha).

It's actually out in Japan just before Christmas. However, in North America, it's not coming out until March.

| Great, great band!! I've liked them since Breaking The Silence in '86. My first exposure was the Set Me Free video on Headbanger's Ball...or was it Metal Shop? I can't remember...too long ago, lol! Anyway, I got the tape and really liked their original material a whole lot more than the cover song. High quality speed metal/thrash!!
I hope this new one is great and isn't hampered by the members' "personal taste evolution" that so often happens with older bands' reunion albums, haha....
