SNOW!!!

It's 21:30 right now and it's been snowing pretty steady and heavy since early this morning. Don't know what the official count is going to be, but I heard we already hit the 14 inch mark around dinner time.

It appears that the snow is finally stopping hereabouts. I estimate we must have about 12-14 inches on the ground. Shoveling was not fun.

My kid's school was closed today and we got the call earlier this evening that it'll be closed tomorrow too. Lucky kid. Today was my day off but I gotta go back to work tomorrow.

I was off today.

As of right now, we haven't gotten any sort of "official" notice about work tomorrow, which means the offices are open. The mayor did declare a state of emergency or something and all city offices & schools are closed.

I contacted my boss tonight and told him if we are indeed expected to show up tomorrow, I'll be there when I get there. I gots lotsa shoveling to do in the morning.

Been working from home all week....... with my school closed all week...... Need a drink....

Getting some more snow today... thankfully nothing too heavy duty. They're talking 4-7 inches for my area, tops.

I'm so sick of snow. And today we had more of it.

Same here, although I don't think we're getting much more than an inch or 2 this time. Made the ride into work a sluggish nightmare.

The ride here wasn't bad at all this AM, but in the past hour or so it's started comin' down pretty hot and heavy. (or perhaps "cold and heavy")

Now I'm hearin' about more snow for this area Monday night into Tuesday. Sheesh. I'm sick of looking at it and I have no place left to shovel more of it. My front yard looks like Antarctica as it is now.

Yup. Same here. On the positive note, the city actually sent some plows & front-end loaders down the streets last night to clear out the old snow. I guess in preparation for the new storm coming.

I feel sorry for my dog. He goes outside and he can't figure out where to do his bid'ness anymore. His normal, er, dumping ground has about a foot and a half of accumulated snow piled on it. He'll be happier than anyone in the family when Spring gets here and it starts to melt.

Enjoying the sun over here today. Been nice the last few days and supposed to carry on for the weekend. Nice change to the 5 straight months of rain this year.

I even busted out my primitive hobo stove and cooked a T bone for lunch on the side yard.

WE'RE IN FOR ANOTHER DOSE OF THE WHITE STUFF AGAIN THIS WEEKEND!

Hey Folks.... it's official, I dont' wanna hear the word "SNOW" again till next year. We got freakin HAMMERED this weekend...it started snowing early Thursday morning and it kept right on goin' till about 7 or 8 last night. The grand total when all was said and done was 28 inches. We lost our electricity for about five hours on Thursday night and our cable TV, phone, and Internet were out till about an hour ago (which is why I haven't been here since Thurs. AM...I tried to post here last night using the Mobie Web on my cellphone, which was my only line to the outside world, but WOW that was a pain in the a$$ so I gave up)...

I didn't get fully shoveled out till a couple of hours ago and I am now bone tired, sweaty, smelly, and frozen to the gills.

I'll post some pics of the so called "snow-icane" when I get a few minutes...

Lucky. We have an el nino in the NW and so it's warmer then usual.

Finally got the driveway and vehicles cleared as a confused Molson the Snow Pooch looks on.



As you can see, the snow plows kinda did a number on my mailbox. I haven't gotten any mail since Thursday. Fortunately I'm not waiting for any CDs. I plan to dig it out tomorrow.

Nice pics Keith!!! You got close to what I had after the first 3 foot storm, followed by another foot a few days later. My body has finally recovered from all of the shovelling!!!

Yea, I guess the storm we got was my payback for a couple of weekends ago, when you guys down South got hammered and we got nothin'.
