| I think "Babylon" is a FANTASTIC album!!! I guess it's all in the ear of the beholder. But I see no reason to downplay such a monster of an album. Sure - there are only 7 original songs -- but they are all good. No filler -- all KILLER!!! This is my favorite WASP album since "The Crimson Idol". | |

I'd have to say:
Live to Die Another Day Godless Run Crazy and Babylon's Burning What? No one else has any favorite songs on this album? Am I one of the only ones here who actually loves this thing? WTF?

| I won a copy on ebay coming from the UK. I know international shipping can be a hassle at times, but I'm getting antsy. I got an email that it shipped on Feb. 5th and still nuttin'. I'm sure it will be good. I haven't heard a bad WASP disc yet. Sure, some are better than others, but the last few discs, Blackie has really been knocking them out of the park. I even like Kill, F*ck, Die with it's industrial overtones. It's just a matter of how good Babylon will be compared to the rest of their catalog. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. You an me both, sister!! I like Babylon a lot, but I don't see why everyone is going apeshit over this one when it's just as good as most of their catalog. I have been happy with most everything Blackie has released since I first heard him in 1985. Where were all these rave reviews when Dominator was released???? |

I love it but if you'll notice this thread is on page 6. I'm pretty much talked out about it. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I just got this album though. So did a lot of others here because I see it in the 'new purchase' thread. That's one reason I don't like to milk a thread for ages and ages. What's wrong with starting new threads, that give something a fresh perspective? But whenever someone does that - someone comes along and throws these old threads up in their faces. I almost started a new thread about 'favorite songs' on this album. But I knew someone would just tell me to post it here. I post it here - and now people are tired of talking about it. Whatever.

| Okay - let's try this again. WHO HERE HAS THIS ALBUM? I just got it -- and I feel like talking about it. Just because I didn't get this when it first came out three months ago like some of you guys did, shouldn't mean I can't talk about it. There are actually quite a few people who don't even have this one yet. For those who do have this album -- what are your favorite songs on it? And by the way -- some of us go apesh!t over anything WASP puts out. I guess we're just bigger fans than those of you who don't. | |

I have it and can't find the damn thing! It's either in a pile somewhere or under a car seat. I played the crap outta this thing when I got it back in the Fall but I had to make room in the car for newer acquisitions. Now I can't find where I put it. Eh, it will turn up eventually... _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Well, my cd finally arrived today. 'Bout freakin' time. Anyway, first spin and this album didin't disappoint. It's a W.A.S.P. album and it's good. Time will tell how it stacks up against the rest, but I can't see how long time fans wouldn't dig it. Looking forward to cranking this on the ride home tonight. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | I think the first three songs are really strong and it tails off a bit after that. Good disc overall. | |

| OK, since I uncovered this album in one of the many stacks in my garage, I've been spinning it again. To answer your question MB, my favorite songs are: Live To Die Another Day Crazy Bablyon's Burning The only songs I skip are Burn and the last one. Not that they're bad they're just not up to the level of the rest of the album IMO. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

All in all, I like every song on the album -- but those 4 are the strongest IMO. Overall I'd rate the album an 8.5/10

| I actually spun Live To Die Another Day 3 straight times this morning on the way to work. Unlike some people (who's names start with a "7" - here at least), I seldom do that. That chorus is really addicting. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I checked out everything 'new' since 'Unholy Terror', and I only ended up digging a few songs off of that and the 'Neon God' albums. The rest was just kind of like......well.......Blackie doesn't do the AC/DC, make the same album every album thing too well. I feel like they've become way too derivative..so I've held off on getting this one..but I'm sure I will check it out at some point...same with Megadeth, except they haven't been ripping off their old stuff, the albums have just sucked. | |
