They might sound generic to you, I'm not sure.

I am a huge fan of power metal though ... so I'm not too hard to please along these lines.

I'm much pickier with thrash. I love it ... but I find a lot of it to be generic as heck. Kinda how you seem to be with power metal.

I used to love this style, Just take a look at my website, I own just about any flower metal band with albums released after 1995. But I am really burned out on the style, and seldom find new bands that I enjoy in this style.

I wasn't even going to click the MySpace link regarding this band, due to the absolutly lame name. But since you asked, MB, I took a listen.

Yup, this is yet another generic flower metal band, with all the clichés intact.

Unnessecary keyboards - Check
Kiske-wannabe singer, that is almost out-of-key - Check
Constant double bass drums - Check

BORING! And this band even comes with a terrible production to boot.

I'm sorry, MB, but i guess I fel out of love with the entire genre. I'll keep my Helloween, Gamma Ray, Stratovarius and Kamelot discs though, and keep listening to and enjoying them.

We all have different taste! No need to apologize.



Toho is kinda the same way. He's burnt out on power metal and selling me all his old CDs! I love it!!!

Back to Seven Gates now ...

I spun their new one last night - and this album just gets better with each subsequent spin! They are on their way to becoming a favorite of mine!

Just found out also that they just got signed to a new record company and this album is reissued! It was an independant release before (last year).

Also, they are working on a new album for release sometime next year called "Betrayer"!!!


Can't wait for that!
