TOP 5 or 6: 2009

Lots of new releases in the home stretch of 2009, I have to keep updating my list as new items muscle their way in.

At the moment, my list looks like this:

The top 20-50 list is going to be tough because of the great releases and ones I've yet to get. I want the new Brainstorm and Narnia albums but they are only availiable as imports right now.

There is sooo much from 2009 that I don't even have yet. This was the best year for new music in a long time!

Last year was pretty good too though.

IMO, 2007, 2008, & 2009 have been great metal years, each one more better than the other.

I did manage to keep up somewhat this year for a change, but I wasn't really blown away by what I heard. The best:

I'm sorry to say that I haven't warmed up to the new Heaven & Hell or Kiss albums. I have high expectations for the new Priestess, but I haven't heard it yet.

narnia was released domestically by Nightmare with a bonus track for the US version..

Yeah, very true. I use Amazon most of the time, but there are those few rare occasions where I have to reach for CDInzane, NEH or Laser's Edge.
