Finally some good news about Anthrax

I was never exactly clear on why he (and Dan Spitz for that matter) left after the reunion either. By most accounts, it was a pretty successful run of shows and the fans enjoyed it. Is Joey a big pain in the ass? Are Charlie & Scott that hard to get along with?

There is so much going on behind the scenes with that band that neither Charlie nor Scott will fess up to. It's always some vague/cliched excuse why the singers leave. The whole truth would probably be pretty facinating. Or maybe incredibly lame.

I thought according to Joey it was a scheduling conflict with some dates they planned.

They shot themselves in the foot by booting him ... especially before a new studio album with him on the mike.

Sounds like some of Worship Music is just getting new vocals, other parts are getting completely reworked and other parts are getting scrapped.

Probably. Or at least until it starts showing up everywhere in bootleg form and the band realizes they might as well officially release it to make some money from it.

Only after Scott & Charlie figure out how to release it without Dan Nelson getting any royalites.

Actually, I could see them releasing either a long-awaited box set with rareties or another 'greatest hits' comp and tag on 1 or 2 unreleased songs from the Nelson-era to entice long-time fans.

UGH! Road first then a new CD? Why? So they can get on each other's nerves again and split again? Just record something new already! These guys have known each other for 20-30 years. Do they really need to "get comfortable playing with each other again"?

They make their $$$$ at shows, which is what this reunion is all about.

All 100% true but it would be nice have a new album by this band, without that they are just another band riding on the oldies band wagon.

I don't understand why they can't simply redo the vocals with Belladonna and then release the album and tour in support of it? Then, if they are not at each others throats after Sonisphere and their own headlining gigs, create something new. As a 20+ year fan (as a lot of us here are) I don't want another greatest hits package or live album; I want new Anthrax!

I don't think Bush wanted the job. Bush was never back in. He just helped them out to fill a few shows. Anything beyond that was pure speculation and rumor.
