Inspell - Arcadian Tales: The Egregore

Anyone else dig this interesting Black-ish Bulgarian band?

I'm not huge into Black Metal, but they have a very unique sound that I find appealing.

Any fans?

Just read a story on Stormspell Records in Scream Magazine,and this album came up. I haven't heard it, but it sounded interesting. I think it was the first CD Stormspell released.

Of course the label highlight article also mentioned that Chris Caffery plays on their Fischel's Beast album, and this I only read 2 or 3 days after my 6 for 66 purchase!!

It's good, but the guys have listened too much to the late 90's/early 2000's albums by Emperor and Dimmu Borgir.

Quite a few of the riffs sound like they were taken from "Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk", "IX Equilibrium" or "Spiritual Black Dimensions".

Interesting Coma. I've never heard those albums before.

Who else plays this style?

Symphonic and/or melodic black metal?

Emperor, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, Naglfar, Old Man's Child and quite a few other lesser known bands.
