100 Greatest Album Covers

Here, have a list.

Is their only criteria nudity? I mean, nudity's all well and good, but that Blind Faith one is just...no. Despite that and a few that are just bland ("With The Beatles", "Elvis Presley"), there's lots of good ones I agree with...

But how could they possibly leave out this masterpiece;

hmmm....I saw a lot of stupid album covers, and some good ones.

Some good albums there but no covers that I would consider "the greatest."

Oh, WAIT... it's a Rolling Stone magazine list. That explains EVERYTHING. Rolling Stone doesn't even make good rolling paper anymore.

Sgt. Pepper is a no brainier as #1, if anything just for the sheer iconic status that it holds, not to mention that it is a great freaking album!

I see some good album covers and some really crappy ones (like that Toto album).

Somehow, I think the quality of the music impacted a lot of these picks; I don't think the selections were based solely on artistic merits.

Some good ones, but theres alot of crap on that list. Not surprising for a Rolling Stone list though, it seems to cater to a certain area as usual.

Done in 1991! Wonder what would of made it from the last 18 years?

Some great, iconic covers there, but most left me scratching my head.

Rolling Stone is rediculous - Sometimes, I get the feeling they post albums like "The White Album" and "Here's The Sex Pistols" for their musical importance, and not the cover. It's rediculous. It's like putting on a condom after you ejaculate
