That's the first thing that popped into my mind. Zakk=alcohol. Although I don't know if blood clots are an alcohol-related symptom. Could be I suppose. Any doctors in the house that could shed some light on the subject?

"To all our BLACK LABEL family worldwide, thanks for all the 'get-wells. Every 48 hours I have to get myself to the hospital ER to check my blood. Had a CT scan today and have blood clots in each of my lungs as well as my leg. I can't sing because pushing can cause an embolism."

Are you serious? Sure, I bet it sucks to have blood clots in your lungs, but why would we pray for Zakk Wylde before all the other people with blood clots in their lungs?

What makes a musician, or a sports star, or a tap dancing llama any better than anyone else? I don't get this mentality. There are much more important things to pray about than this.

If I heard someone say "...and dear Lord, please watch over Zakk Wylde because of his (more than likely self induced) medical problem...", I'd punch him in the nuts. Even if it were my own mom that said it. ESPECIALLY if it were my Mom who said it, because she has common sense.

This is probably why God wiped out creation with the flood because too many people were praying for useless crap like this.

We care about metal so we care about Zak. Not so hard to understand though your point is clear.

I understand where Spec is comming from. We put celebreties on a pedastool and they get more recongition than regular people. A famous or very talented individual is not more important (or less) than anyone else. That being said, I will pray for Zakk becauase he is a human being (therefore made in the image of God). However, I will also pray for anyone else who may suffer from an illness like this or any other. As a matter of fact everytime I do an extended prayer, I pray for anyone who suffers and for their families.

You're missing the point spec. I know there are a lot of things to pray about in the world but who said there is a limit to how many small prayers can be given to God? If you don't like him or whatever that's fine but i was relaying it to those that are fans. It's not like i woke up in the morning thinking about blood clots in the lungs and given a long list of people to pray for. I grew up with his music and i care if he gets better whether it was "self induced" or not.

I don't just pray for celebrities... I pray when i feel moved to.
