I actually still think Rock For The King is a great listen. And so I didn't think of Atomic Arena as 'THAT' much of a surprise. But it is WAY heavier.

Don't get me wrong, I still loves me some RFTK (just listened to that one a day or two ago in fact...and yes, I still laugh convulsively every time I hear the lyric "Better than pot, JEEEEEESUS ROOOOOOOOCKS!") but ATOMIC ARENA shreds it like mozzarella. The songs are better, the playing's better, the lyrics are better, the production is better, and thankfully the sky blue and white leathers were left behind... Laughing very hard

Totally agree!!!! The other big suprise on this one for me was the difference in the mix and production between the Deadlock on CA Metal and Atomic Arena (HEAVIER SOUND!)
