Heavens force was an underground christian thrash/speed band from Fort worth texas that formed in 1983. According to divinemetal distro, both the demos "Aggressive angel" and "Heavens force" will be available on one CD for preorder by july 21st......yay!

This is a really special limited edition pressing. Only about 6 copies of the original tape is in existence, and we're only making 500 copies of the disc.

Got my copy a few days ago....mad thrashing since!!

I was kind of hoping for some rad pictures or maybe some liner notes, so I was a little disapointed in that regard...but the digi packaging didnt really bother me like I was expecting...wow this actually had spindle teeth for the CD to sit in!!

So far my impressions of this is a very Slayer show no mercy influenced thrash with christian themes, I really dig the album.

Yeah, I listened to my copy all the way through earlier this afternoon, and it's pretty spankin' good for 2 demos. Too bad they never got hooked up w/ good distribution or anything, because w/ a bit more practice & tighter songwriting, this band could have been a serious contender. As it stands, however, great stuff for its time.

Playing this one a lot lately. Better production wold have helped, but there's some great stuff for a demo here. Just wish the lyrics were printed a little bigger, with a photo or even a band bio, but this is certainly better than nothing!

Has anyone else picked up this 7 song, thrash metal CD? I scored a copy over the weekend.

Heavens Force were a short-lived thrash/speed metal band from the 80's that only ever recorded a couple of demos. Open Grave recently released the two demos on CD. Open Grave even makes the claim that these guys were the first Christian thrash band dating back to 1983, pre-dating Deliverance, Vengeance Rising, etc.

Not bad at all considering they were demos from like 84'. I like the CD quite a bit.

Okay stuff I guess, but nothing mindblowing. I'd much rather listen to Show No Mercy, Kill 'Em All or Court In The Act from the same year. Plus the packaging is horrible.

True, but keep in mind this is demo material. I think part of the curiosity is the Slayer-like sound so early on, with Christian lyrics & themes. For what it is, it's good stuff, but obviously not at the top of the early thrash heap.
