If you can get to Austin Texas tonight or Houston Texas tomorrow and you are a fan of the Galactic Cowboys you owe it to yourself to go and see them! Awesome weren't they!
I had a chance to meet, Allen, Wally and Ben but I didn't recognize them (Wally was clean shaven-Ben's hair is twice as long as it used to be, plus I couldn't quite remember what he looked like-as for Allen, I definatly didnt' remember what he looked like). When I saw them on stage I was pissed off at myself for wasting an opportunity. I will give a review when I have time, but I only got a total of 3 hours of sleep in the last 24 hours. I have pictures and will say what I can about the opening acts (all put on decent performances but nothing even comming close to the Cowboys).
Which guy were you? I was right in front of Wally in the White Atomic Opera T-shirt! I was the blonde guy with shoulder length hair standing left of center headbanging w/ vigor and taking a lot of pictures (I know there were plenty of people doing that but I kept doing double and triple takes-damn camera took too long to flash multiple times.
Man I hate it when that happens. Did you have band or a logo shirt on I am trying to picture you, I hate that I missed the opportunity to meet a fellow Metal Board Friend. I was wearing Living Sacrifice-Nonexistant.

| Yeah, Ok I remember seeing that! Bummer I wish I would known that was you. I was looking a guy named Justin Julian who suppose to show up be I do not believe he ever did. I can still hear the drunk guy yelling Hellyeah! I bet he did that 400 times it was so funny Wally was cracking a smile but he just kept on playing! | |

| How many people were there? I hope a lot so the band will consider doing more shows. | |

| DallasBlack, I remember seeing you at the show. Wish I'd have known that was you. I was wearing a white King of the Hill "Strickland Propane" shirt when I first walked in and was wearing a black Galactic Cowboys (vintage logo) shirt after I bought it. I have short blonde hair and wear glasses and am really dorky looking. I was standing right in front of Wally. Here is the setlist from last night: | |

Holy Crap! I was right in front of you in line, what a freakin' coincedence! Wish I had known it was you toom, I've been wanting to meet a HoM member for quite a while now. Jealous you got to have your picture taken with the band. However, the concert ran longer than expected and I had to be at school @6:30 a.m. and I had recent dental work which reaked havoc on my mouth half way through Hawk Vs. Dove. After GC, the pain was almost unbearable and I had to get to a store for some Advil ASAP. I never get to meet bands I like . It's all good, at least I had a good time and a chance to see a band I would never have gotten to see. I didn't become a fan until 2001 so I thought I'd never get to see them live. I met the guitar player and vocalist of the opening act, Benevolence. The guitarist told me about his own band Dead Rising (I'd have to check them out because he was a pretty damn good soloist-told me he didnt' do too much at the show because he only had two weeks to learn the material) so I at least made some contacts.

I just realized something that I didn't catch with stevegarveyfan's pictures and captions. Rember the guy you asked if he was in a band? That was me!!!! Damn, I can't believe the coincedence of the whole thing. You two were right behind me and although I was tempted to join your conversation, my natural shyness prevented that from happening. This is the most amazing and higly dissapointing thing to ever happen to me.

Yeah, I remember asking if you played in a band because you looked like you should be in a band! Short slight built good looking guy with near shoulder length hair, that was you huh Buck?! Well Son of Gun. I wish we all had of known. We could have talked more. Funny the guy that we all thought was Wally who kept coming outside was Wally we should have talked more to him too. I talk to him from time to time as he does the Molken Music Merchandising but I have not seen him in 5 or 6 years so I did not fully recogzine him. Funny story I went up to a guy that night who I thought was the drummer for Catharsis but it was not him he joked and he said it was alright he knew that I had been drinking since I had my cup with me, I had a Sprite LOL. I'll go up to complete strangers and talk to them or try to. I blame my family they are all talkers and very outgoing having been college university instructors and high administrators.

Nothing wrong with that. If I was more outgoing I doubt I'd have such a lack of a social life. Almost all the friends I've ever made in life were the outgoing types who befriended me. I've gotten better over the years but it still takes some time before I can talk to people I don't know.

| Include me! I remember seeing you, DallasBlack, and kinda hoping you'd join our conversation, as you were the coolest-looking guy in line, and I figured you'd be interesting, but I was too shy to say anything! Weird, huh? Well next time I come down that way maybe we can hook up! Very disappointed I didn't just talk to ya. Shoot fire. | |

Yeah, I was kicking myself in the butt for that too. I kept replaying in my mind scenarios of how it could have worked out. It was just as disappointing as not meeting Ben, Monty, and Alan when I had the chance. But yeah, we should all meet up sometime in the future. I probably won't have time to post the pictures and a reveiw til Tuesday. I have a house to clean today and tomarrow I have to go to Just Brakes and get my brakes changed. However, I will mention something neet in regards to GC. A guy I work with at Wal-Mart actually knows Ben (he and Ben's little brother are best friends). When I was talking about the concert (he had previous plans to be with his children and couldn't go) he mentioned that when he was talking to Ben's sister a while back, she said he had been practicing throwing his hair around. Anyone who was there should find that amusing because he sure did a lot of that.

| Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend after all, my car repair ended up being over $300. Then it broke down again today. But anyway, I've seen GC at least 5 times, so at least I have my memories. Hopefully they stick together for awhile and maybe tour some more. |

Hopefully, because they were so tight as a band that it didn't seeme like they had been in limbo for the last 10 years. But again, I understand why it was only a few shows. It probably is a little pricey touring without a record company backing you up when you were never a big selling band to begin with.

| Sorry it's taking me so long to review the concert. After school I just veg out in front of the TV watching Bones reruns and then making and eating dinner. I then listen to the radio show I don't get to hear anymore and read a book before going to bed. I haven't even gotten around to doing laundry, cleaning the house, or even taking a walk (I need to do so eventually or my weight is going to go back up). I have a lawn to do Saturday but after church Sunday, I will do the review. | |
