Subject: The Return of The Galactic Cowboys Mon Sep 25, 2017 5:32 pm
Music Theories Recordings/Mascot Label Group has announced the signing of '90s progressive metal adventurers GALACTIC COWBOYS.
The band's reunited original lineup — lead vocalist Ben Huggins, drummer/vocalist Alan Doss, guitarist/vocalist Dane Sonnier and vocalist/bassist Monty Colvin — will release its first album in seventeen years, "Long Way Back To The Moon", on November 17.
They descended upon Doss's studio in Houston, Texas in early 2016 to write and record.

This album is fantastic! Maybe even the best or if not one of the best albums they've done. I guess a 17 year hiatus was just what they needed .

I need to check this one out, I've just recently started getting into these guys and only have their first two. They slay though, like a thrashy King's X, and I hear a little grunge (ala Alice in Chains) in there too. What other albums of theirs are worth diving into besides the first two?

That's why I added "if not, one of the best". I enjoy the debut all the way through but only about 90% of Space In Your Face. This one I enjoy all the way through. I like all of them really. To me the only one kind of weak (notice I say kind of), is The Horse That Bud Bought. But even that one is not a bad album.
