Live Music - A question for our members under age 30

Fairly simple, I'm curious how often the younger members of the board attend concerts. I know people my age grew up in an era where live venues were more prevalent and there were many exciting acts to go see. But I'd like to know if this has changed with the younger generation.

Well I go to a local venue every once in a while for some concerts, but it's mostly third-wave ska and isn't really metal. No metal concerts around here. Sadly.

I voted "almost never" because where I live there's no venues so to speak and at the dance halls they always play taco rock and country. When I lived in Rio Rancho,NM i went to a lot.

When I lived back in Wales, concerts I wanted to go to were usually infrequent and a bit of a trek, so I only went to a few 'big name' gigs a year. However, now I'm at university in London, I've been going to a lot more gigs - at least one or two a month. I'm really loving being able to see bands regularly.

I voted almost never, though I would like to go more often, the nearest venue is 45 min away but on top of the ticket cost plus gas I just cant reallly afford it.

I'm usually working 50+ hours a week. There are plenty of good shows around here, but I'm too lazy to go see any of them.

2-3 a month, mostly local shows.
