I really think band's are hurting for names. I was just reading a review on Fairlyland. REALLY? You really named your metal band FAIRYLAND? Geez!

Silent Force (sorry, but this name reminds me of a fart!)

Anal C**t (c'mon. Did prepubescent teens come up with this name?)

the above bands list is just stupid / silly.

there is a few more that I can think of that are along the lines of Anal C**t but to be thruthful I woundn't waste my time or yours by putting them up (there are some sick assholes out there).

Worst I think is Cannibal Corpse. Everytime I tell someone about them that has never heard of them, they are in shock, just from the name

Sad thing is, Fairyland, Pink Cream 69, Silent Force, Edguy (anyone know the reason for this name?) and some others on this list are great bands.

Edguy was just a funny "name2 the band put together. They were just in their mid-teens when they started the band, and they just thought it was a funny word. It doesn't mean anything.

Ed-guy is correct.

Fairlyland is a good band, though. Over on the metalreviews.com forum we were rippin' on the band name and then Philippe Giordana joined the forum to defend the band (on another issue aside from the band name). It was pretty funny. He was cool about it all. They originally called themselves Fantasia, then Fantasy, then Ferreol, and finally Fairyland. Haha.
