So far my fave release of 2008 is still Bad Biscut's WE STILL BELIEVE THE HYPE. Either it's been a slow year or the economy has bitten into my CD buying budget worse than I realized!

But seriously, I also like the new Dokken and Testament discs a lot, though I was underwhelmed by Priest's NOSTRADAMUS and the new Iced Earth thus far has just been "meh" for me.

The Showdown-Back Braker (biggest dissapointment, TCMW was my favorite album last year but this was a big let down)
Judas Priest-Nostradamus (not bad but just too much to digest)
Ayreon-01011001 (After the amazing Human Equation this one didn't stand a chance)
Dragonforce-Ultra Beatdown (more varied than previous ones, however, it is their weakest IMO)
Night Ranger-Hole In The Sun (a modern Night Ranger doesn't do much for me)
Soul Embraced-Dead Alive (not bad but not nearly as good as This Is My Blood)

Strange, my copy says 2008 , oh well. Oh I see, it was released in the U.S. in 2008 (according to Wikipedia), so for most Americans, it is a 2008 release.

Yeah, they released Doom Of Destiny earlier this year through Locomotive. This was my first intro to these guys and I hope to find more.

Yeah, they released Doom Of Destiny earlier this year through Locomotive. This was my first intro to these guys and I hope to find more.

Oh, didn't know you meant the re-release of "Doom Of Destiny". Still, That's an awesome album! And if you're looking for some more, "Paradise In Flames" and "Time Machine" are perfect places to start digging. I actually like the latest albums by this band MUCH better than their earlier releases (In the late 80's/early 90's they played more or less Hard Rock or Melodic Heavy Metal).
