BELLADONNA

Caught the Belladonna show a couple of nights ago. Unfortunately, about 40 people showed up to see this legend. But he didn't care. They ripped the roof off!!!! Got to meet and talk to Joey for quite awhile. He is a huge Vikings fan (even sang the national anthem before one of thie games a couple years ago) - so he started the show with the old Vikings theme song. Then Joey, Jack Frost and the guys came out and shredded!! Played 90% Anthrax stuff. I also purchased 4 cds of unreleased stuff from '93-'03, and I gotta tell ya, Anthrax screwed up. All 4 cds (Artifacts1, 2, and 3 and one called Deadly Night Shade from '93) all sound like great old Anthrax. T-shirts werre 10 bucks. Great freakin' night!!! What more can ya ask for? How about a couple of crappy cell phone pics?

Yeah - I just became a Jack Frost fan. Any recommendations in the "less power metally" vein"? I have the Speeed and a couple Seven Witches and like them both.

I just recommend Seven Witches.

The best albums, IMO, are Second War In Heaven and City of Lost Souls. Followed by Passage To The Other Side and Year of the witch (both with James Rivera). The others are OK.

But if I met Belladonna, I would have asked him why he left Anthrax. But then he probably wouldn't talk to me after that.

Jack Frost's first solo album (RAISE YOUR FIST TO METAL) from 2004 is a pretty good listen, wasn't as crazy about the follow up (OUT IN THE COLD) though.

I saw belladona open to twisted sister on december 2007. I enjoyed belladona more than twisted sister, I wich to hear a whole set from belladona

seen him opening for Motorhead several years ago before the Anthrax reunion thing. he performed more solo stuff at that show, along with some Thrax tunes & a Journey song. he puts on a great show.

That was Joey's fault.

I was referring to the 90's, as the stuff he recorded by himself [minus "Spells" which is still hard to listen to for me] from first listen is better than anything Bush did w/Anthrax. But I sure as hell am not starting THAT debate again!!!!

I'm hoping to see Joey in June when he plays Charlotte.

As for Joey Belladonna, I actually might be seeing him live next month. I hope I get to.
