Damn You, Payroll!

I took a vacation day last Sunday. I filled out the non-punched payroll hours sheet and gave it to my boss. Today I got paid less than $200 what I normally get paid. Gee, looks like ol' Ken didn't get paid for that vacation. Gotta love it. I was using this check for Christmas presents. I'm so damn annoyed right now!

And my boss is, of course, on vacation today and all next week. The lead tech (basically the boss when the boss is gone) is not at her desk, hasn't been at her desk for AN HOUR, and even if she were, I highly doubt Payroll can deposit my missing pay until next week.

dude thats bull crap! YOU MAKE THEM PAY YOU NOW. If they made a mistake, they need to kick down immediately. Go rub soap in your eyes, thrash your hair all over, and spit some drull out the side of your mouth, and get in their face and tell 'em. I bet you get it...in a hurry. I've had that happen too, I don't take no for an answer.

Ha! My boss says that according to my payroll I had no vacation days. Funny, I asked her how many vacation days I had before taking the day and she looked it up and it showed two days. I saw it with my own eyes.

Why the hell would I take a vacation day when I had no vacation? I took the day off this go to two kids' birthday parties! Yeah, that was worth it. Man, I'm annoyed. Of course, even though Payroll had their crap screwed up, I still don't get paid. I think they should pay me, actually.

Call Human Resources, that crap is illegal, you worked for those paid days off! Sorry I work at a place that screws me sideways all the time, so I understand.

Not yet. My boss is on vacation this week. By the tone of her e-mail, though, I'm S.O.L. She was like, "It also tells you how many days you have on your pay stub." Yay! Of course, when I decided to take a vacation day for that day I was at work, in her office, staring at the PAYROLL SOFTWARE that said I had two days. I didn't have a pay stub on me, nor did I bother to look when I got home because, one would assume, that Payroll's software would be UP TO FRICKIN' DATE! And I wouldn't assume that one would be wrong, the other right.

But this company is clearly run by retards. I work IT, but for the stores, not the company. Like, I don't work on PCs here at work, I work on the PCs at all our locations in the field. Anyway, on my PC here at work I don't have enough rights to run Defrag. In fact, I don't have enough rights to shut down Windows Media Player through the task manager. Hahaha. But with one-click of my mouse I can bypass the proxy server, which basically sidesteps every safeguard they have in place to keep the network free of me downloading stuff, visiting porn sites, introducing viruses to the network, etc. Hahaha. People simply don't know what they're doing. I also have to change my password every two months. I had to change my password in the Air Force every six months, and for 8 years I worked in top secret facilities! Haha.

So I really don't expect much resolution to come out of this whole thing. I work in an office where one person (me) can do 60+ calls a day and others (too many) can do under 10. The boss knows about it, too.
