What are some of the BEST covers of Jimi Hendrix songs?

Yngwie's live cover of "Spanish Castle Magic" with Joe Lynn on vocals is my favorite.

2nd favorite is SRV's cover of "Voodoo Child". He truly made that song his own.

SRV's version of "Voodoo Child" (slight return)/"Little Wing"
Skid Row did a decent job on "Little Wing".
Winger's version of "Purple Haze is terrible....

Alot of you folks probably don't want to hear this but im with Nuno Bettencourt when he said "Jimi was overrated".....dude was so drugged out of his mind it was ridiculous.His vocals definitely ruin alot of it for me.I guarun'freakin'tee you Hendrix couldn't play what Yngwie/EVH plays.

I like King's X live rendition of Manic Depression at woodstock 94.

Don't laugh, but Dave Matthews Band do a killer cover of All Along The Watchtower...but at this late hour something is telling me Jimi covered that song, too. It's a Dylan song, huh? Haha.

Ted Nugent, Coroner and Winger all have done covers of Purple Haze. Not sure I like any of them as much as the Hendrix version.

Uli Roth has done a few great Hendrix covers.

One of my very favourite Hendrix covers would have to be Bumblefoot's version of Fire, with Dennis Leeflang on drums. Awesomely, it's also available free from Bumblefoot's website so;

I always like Red Hot Chili Peppers cover of Castles made of sand, their fire cover is kind of interesting as well.

King's X version of "Manic Depression" is pretty killer.

Body Count (!) did a great version of "Hey Joe" (Type O Negative have also sorta covered it, except that they changed the title to "Hey Pete" and made it about Pete Steele killing his girlfriend with a pick axe... nice huh?)

Does S.O.D.'s "Ballad of Jimi Hendrix" count?

I would like the Coroner cover better if it wern't for that thick German/Swiss accent of Ron Royce. I agree with the comment about Winger's version of Puple Haze is terrible.
