Anvil

Now that's time for true Heavy/Thrash/Speed/Canadian Metal. Who know Anvil here? Nobody seem to know them (Ult I know you know them ) Metal On Metal is on my favorit Metal anthem. I think that they are a trio rightnow but they were a quartette (Sorry if you don't understand) before. Lips (Lip?) the signer and lead guitarist is a good guy. He answered me after 2 hours and I think that he really loves his fans.

Yeahhh lips realy love his fans and that is great. Soon they are going to release a new album, 13. On their myspace page you can listen to a sampler of one song.
My fave album is FORGET IN FIRE. I saw them live last year together with ONSLAUGHT and they kicked ass.
EXCITER and RAZOR are also canadien killer bands.

I love Canadian band they rock as hell. Annihilator is a Canadian (Quebec) band too.

Ohhh, ANNIHILATOR are great. I just read that you are from CAnada. I love many canadien bands. Some of my fave are RAPID TEARS, HELIX, KILLER DWARFS, OUTBREAK, APRIL WINE, RUSH, TRIUMPH, ASSAULT, DAGGAR, MESSIAH FORCE, INFERNAL MAJESTY, LOVERBOY, BRIGHTON ROCK, ALDO NOVA, FIST, WHITE WOLF, KICK AXE etc...you can see, from heavy rock till thrash metal. All great bands, but my fave true speed metal would be RAZOR and EXCITER.

Great photo of Lips, he is f****** increible. A real metal head like for exemple KAI HANSEN from GAMMA RAY, UDO or KING DIAMOND, people that realy believe in Metal and people that will never betray their fans.

Metal musician it's a thing but Metal musician and Metal thing it's a F*CKING GREAT THING!

Anvil rocks! I was lucky enough to see one of their rare shows in the US about ten years ago, opening for Raven (one of my all time favorite bands!)... Anvil was heavy as hell, and hilarious too. Lips played climbed up onto the club's bar and played a guitar solo using a vibrator as a guitar slide! I was dyin'. Since then I've been a diehard fan. METAL ON METAL is my favorite album, the title track to that one has one of the most BAD ASS riffs in metal history!!

Yeah I'd like to see on of their show.I'll probably go to one of their show if they come at Quebec.

One of my long-time favorite bands. Classic metal! One of the originators of thrash metal as well.

I think they were really popular in the 80s no?

I don't know how popular they were, but they were certainly influencial to many other Christian bands in the 80's.

I'd say they were influential. Alot of their early material is classic and as of late their newer material is as good and they just released 13!

Yeah, I love how their song influence my style. I love doin' song like them. (Yeah sometime I'm doin' some song...)

only a couple of tracks i like from this is thirteen...easily my best anvil release is worth the weight...their great live appearance in wacken comes as a bonus dvd with their " back to basics" album....

other canadian bands that i love are: solar eagle, overlord, kraken, sacred blade, exciter, crypt(with exciter members), thunder rider, sye( not their crappy release from metal blade, but their second private monster one), lord ryur( my alltime favorite 7"), nuthin' pritty, zion's abyss, witchkiller, wikka, valkyrie's cry, 7th reign, outbreak(their second killer demo only), final stage, iron gypsy, sword...etc

For me.. Lips is a person in the scene of Metal that will be in our hearts forever, like Lemmy, Brian Ross,
Dan Beehler(canadian too) and other people who really get metal in their blood and done some for Heavy Metal!

They're in the real headbangers hall of fame ever!
