Tough one - Blackout or Love At First Sting. Both albums got me into the Scorpions. I probably listened to love at first sting more, since it was very popular when I was a sophmore in high school - heck, still loving you was played for the "slow dance" songs at the high school dances (everyone used to go after the football game before they could drive - after car, it was football game and a party)

I did like the earlier stuff, but not as much as those two albums.

That is a tough question.... hmmmm.....

70's - Virgin Killer (hate the title) I mean really 'Pictured Life'
'Catch Your Train' ULI RULES , 'Backstage Queen' !

80's - Animal Magnetism ..... I know, I know... but 'Falling in Love', 'Twentieth Century Man', 'Make It Real'..... wow...

90's - 'Face the Heat'..... all because of 'Alien Nation'....

2000's - 'Unbreakable'....... if u haven't heard it. GET IT !!

It's good to see "Taken By Force" listed. An under-rated album and my fave.

I'd pick Virgin Killer or Taken by Force, followed closely by Blackout, Animal Magnatism, Lovedrive and In Trance.

Animal Magnetism. "The Zoo" pushes it over the edge.

I really only dislike Eye II Eye. I think everything else is at least decent.

those older Scorps discs are really where it's at .... Too bad they never got the run Blackout or LAFS, CW, got.... There really is some awesome stuff on those discs,

If you liked Blackout, you'd like Virgin Killer. Ult would you agree?

the 70's stuff is awesome and a very different than the 80's stuff. I like probably Lovedrive and Blackout the best followed by AM and VK and IT.

In the Uli Jon Roth era it would go something like this

After Jon Roth left the band

1. Lovedrive
2. Blackout
3. Savage Amusement
4. Love at First Sting
5. Animal Magnetism

Tokyo Tapes is great, but I'm sticking with just the studio releases. I haven't really cared for any Scorpions album since Savage Amusement.

I think it would be a virtual deadlock between Taken By Force and Lovedrive. I love both albums.

Virgin killer, though all of the 70's lp's ruled!

IMO, Love at First Sting was the beginning of the end, still a good lp, but it was a sign of things to come, namely cheese & sleeze!!!!!

Taken By Force easily.

This was one of my holy grail CDs for a long time. For some reason it hadn't made it to CD. Finally scored if off Ebay as a European import backed with Savage Amusement.

Of course about a month later, it was released on CD domestically.

Blackout is great stuff, no filler. The Zoo is the best song they ever did.

Blackout would be my second favorite Scorps disc.

Taken by Force

There wasn't many Scorps fans at my school when this came out.
It is special to me because of it being the first new lp by them after I'd discovered the other stuff they already had out.

This is not a list of the best, but rather, my faves by Scorpions:

1.) Savage Amusement
2.) Lovedrive
3.) Blackout
4.) Love at First Sting
5.) Animal Magnetism
* Face the Heat/ Humanity (Honarable Mention)

I'll go with Blackout. Taken By Force and Animal Magnetism are close.

I do have holes in the collection though.
