| you should just be able to open up itunes and drag in the videos you want to put on your ipod. otherwise you might have to convert them into a different format. There should be something on itunes that will do that otherwise I have no idea. I have done it before though its just been a while. Look at the website download.com and im sure if you type in video to ipod or something like that you'll find a program _________________ | |

| I believe Ipods only play video encoded with MPEG-4 or H.264 codecs. This basically means you can't use more common ones like mpeg-2, wmv, or any that use the .avi container and the like, you'll need to convert it first. Itunes has no conversion function so I usually use some third party freeware progam.
If you're using Windows there are plenty of programs to use like Quick media Convertor or Handbrake. If you're using a Mac you've also got other free programs like Isquint or Handbrake for Mac.

| Also when you plug your IPod into the computer click on your device and in the summary tab click the box next to "manually manage music and video". Then you should be able to just drag the videos to the left side of Itunes over your IPod and it'll just drop them in. | |

| thanks guys I am amazed how these mp3's have advanced, I managed to put 15 videos to the ipod today. They needed to be converted into mp4 format before going in.
Another thing, I wanted to put music from my external hard drive to the ipod but my computer cant accept two USB cables working at the same time, so it stored many songs on the itunes that can't be located, since the external hard drive doesn't respond to it. HOW CAN I DELETE THE NON WORKING SONGS? I know Windows media player had an option to delete these songs

It could be easy, but my external hard drive is 160GB of music, and still is not enought. So I had to delete everything from the itunes. It took me a long time, since I think you can only do it individually Another question, is there an option that I can rewrite the same songs? I mistakenly put some albums twice and didn't re-rewrited. My old mp3 player was easier than this
