{yes, if you look closely, you can see your favorite frizzy-headed Uncle in the pit!} _ And at last years Reunion [still sounding great! but not great quality footage] _
_ Ramones-Mania _
_ And, let's end this little post with a little slaughter[house]
Now - Have we learned anything Mr. Skaargassruuudmorganschteinster [I never could spell that]???
Another band that I have no idea why I dont own all there stuff already.
Well, that is easy.
Absolute Power tends to sell for $40-50 and The Madness Begins was a promo only, and in a good economy [sold mine 2 weeks ago] goes for upwards of a honey-bee. You can get the Combat BootCamp series for relatively inexpensive [$20-25].
I have them all in every format. The coolest is the Madness vinyl. It came with a promo shot of the band, a sticker, and a Powermad comic book! And just to make myself feel even more superior, if you did not know, the city at the beginning of the "Gimme, Gimme Shock Treatment" vid and that "Powerman" is destroying on the cover of "Madness", is the greatest city ever. No, not Eugene. Not even Portland. I think Bob, Grant, and Greg said it best:

Man, I am feeling goofy tonight.
I never looked to deep into getting there stuff but once you quoted the cabbage amount for the discs I now realize that was a stupid statement on my part...haha.
About husker du though, I dig the part when grant like stage dives over the table...haha.
knocking over the IDS and Foshay towers, and making me (bottom center in red t-shirt) flee in terror at the same time. Power indeed. That was a bad day in The City of Lakes. I remember it well. I thought I was gonna end up like on the cover of Queen's "News of The World". This sort of thing rarely happens in rural Wisconsin, which is why I left the city. I get the occasional rampaging skunk here, but that's about it.
Freakin Love Powermad.I actually snagged a copy of Absolute Power from Lala. One of the best deals I ever got from them.I wish they would put out some new material

When I spoke to them after the show last year, the plan was to re-issue Absolute Power with some bonus tracks that were recorded for the second album [that never happened]. Then, re-record those tracks for a new album. Todd is a full-time brewmaster, and Joel's employment keeps him overly busy, as well. Haven't heard anything since then though.
Oh, and I just love the name Husker Du! That is Norwegian, you know
Danish, according to Grant. But that cannot be very far off from Norske. It means "Do You Remember", right? When I was a kid, we went with the rumor that Husker Du was German for "F You". haha
I was just using the word "Power" as a play word. And I agree with your assessment entirely. I just Husker you slagging Powermad years ago. Just don't want you to forget that! haha

Slagging? As in talking them down? I don't remember that. I remember getting rid of the CD becasue I got a killer deal on it, and I never got that much into the entire CD (the EP was much better, imho). But the songs that were good should be enough for me to keep it.
Husker Du is spelled the same in Danish and Norwegian, yes. And it does translate to "Do you remember?". But I read that it came fom the TV show "Husker Du" on Norwegian National Broadcasting. That show was a bunch of old guys singing songs for even older guys in an audience, and it was one of the most popular programs on TV here in Norway during the late 70's! and early 80's! And from what I heard the band picked the name up when touring Europe. Og course that might have been an urban legend.

I think it was also a popular european boardgame in the 60's.
