| I think Aerosmith wins, as I constantly see Done With Mirrors in the crap bins, and the cds have like 5 or 6 chunks cut out of them. | |

Yea, I see that one alot too. Anything post-Permanent Vacation seems to pop up quite a bit it seems. Even though I'm a fan, I could see how those later day Aerosmith albums would fall into the "millions sold/thousands sold back" category. They seemed to hit a new height of popularity in the mid to late 90's, then that popularity wanes and all the so-called fans that bought the whole cd just to hear Cryin' because they liked the video, dump the cd like a hot potato once they had it set as their ringtone and got sick of hearing it after the 3rd phone call from Chase, the ex-boyfriend with whom she went with to see Aerosmith because he recited the lyrics to "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" while they slow-danced at the Senior Prom, only to catch Chase making out with her ex-best friend Lacey underneath the bleachers at the big football rally the next week. Now everytime she hears any Aerosmith song, she gets into an uncontrolable fit of sobbing and she reaches for container of Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey, which she might as well finish off now anyway and she eats the pain of heartache and rejection away. She's too fat for her favorite jeans now and will never be able to find a guy as great as Chase ever, ever again, so what difference does it make. wow, that was insightful.

Yes, Lacey was me. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Come on, I dare you. I see the new Motley Crue quite a bit. I'm not a huge fan, the hits is enough for me, but is it that bad? |

That's a shame. Pick one up if you don't already have it. It's a great cd. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Great White's "Can't Get There From Here".
In fact, I saw so many copies of this C.D at my local used C.D store that I lined them all up in a row, and counted them (they were all spread out throughout the G's). I was trying to be inconspicuous as this project of mine looked kind of goofy, but I didn't care. I ended up counting like 14 copies of this one C.D. I had never heard much of anything off this album, with the exception being "Rollin' Stoned". Funny enough my roommate had this on C.D, so I listened to it. I then realized why there were 14 copies of this one C.D, and still are to this day. Every time I go in the store, I count, and it hasn't changed in some 9 months.
What a shame, because I really dug 80's Great White.

| I have a feeling Chinese Democracy will be in every used bin soon. When I was at Movie Trading Company, they had four used copies. Almost every Van Halen album can be found in used bins. | |

What a shame, because I really dug 80's Great White. That albums' residence in used bins is well deserved. I bought a used copy only a few months after its release, listened to it a couple of times, deemed it a stiff, and sold it back to the same used-CD store shortly thereafter. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| For a while there, I also remember seeing countless copies of REM's "Monster". To be honest, I actually think it is a good album. I think the reason might be that they picked up alot of fans during their "Out of Time" and "Automatic for the People" era, and this album was definitely a shift from that sound. I think "Monster" had more in common with "Life's Rich Pageantry", and although I don't think it is as good as that album, it is still a decent collection of songs. I also see alot of Van Halen 3, but THAT one does deserve to be on the used bins. Actully, a better place for it would be the rubbish bin. | |
