| but you really like them? I often think if I see too much of an album used it must suck but there are some I really like. I still see Giant used quite a bit but I have the first two and like them a lot. There are more but what about you? |

| Since I do almost all of my buying online these days, I seldom browse used CD bins anymore. But one I used to always see plenty of was The Who's "Odds and Sods". Since I like The Who, I always wondered if there was anything decent on that disc. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Toho, The Who's Odds and Sods is an excellent CD and if you are a Who fan I would highly recommend it, as far as albums I see used always that donot suck, I always see Metallica' self titled CD and Van Halen's Sammy Hagar era. | |

| See a lot of Judas Priest - Angel Of Retribution in all it's versions. I broke down and got the deluxe version though I'm still unsure how it is much different than the cheaper dualdisc. I also see Obituary - Frozen In Time quite often. | |

Some of them I do (Aerosmith, Slayer, some KISS), but not the rest. As the title of this thread states, I've seen these discs alot when I'm scanning through the shops and the used bins at places like FYE. Doesn't mean I like 'em, though. . Korn especially seems to show up alot. I don't remember the album title, but a few years ago, Korn released the same album with 4 different covers. Everything else(to my knowledge anyway) was the same, save for the cover art. My guess is that fans went out and bought several copies, then later down the line realized it was stupid to have 2, 3 or 4 copies of the exact cd and dumped them off. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Usually, you'll see a ton of something if it was really, really big at one time...millions sold usually translate into hundreds of thousands sold back...some things that always came through my old used store: Jewel (her debut), Sister Hazel, Barenaked Ladies, Metallica (black album), Hootie & The Blowfish, Kiss (comps), Johnny Cash (comps), Elvis Costello (comps), U2 (latter era), Alania Morissette (her debut), Sting, and that dude who sang "How Bizarre".... |

I like to think that's what happed with Limp Bizkut. Suddenly, almost overnight, all the frat-boy meat-heads woke up and went "I did it all for the nookie? Seriously? Dude, get this thing outta here!" _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Yeah...it was always funny when people would try to trade really current/popular stuff in...stuff that sold millions of copies but suddenly wasn't cool anymore...Britney Spears, N'Sync, etc...they were still pretty popular, but we would have 3 or 4 copies already and we'd offer them like $1 in store credit and they'd look all shocked..."but it's brand new!!"...doesn't matter...you and about a million other people suddenly realized you bought a piece of crap...not our fault. We couldn't give some stuff away that, at one time, was ridiculously popualr and people still came in trying to sell it... |

Yea, I see that one alot too. Anything post- Permanent Vacation seems to pop up quite a bit it seems. Even though I'm a fan, I could see how those later day Aerosmith albums would fall into the "millions sold/thousands sold back" category. They seemed to hit a new height of popularity in the mid to late 90's, then that popularity wanes and all the so-called fans that bought the whole cd just to hear Cryin' because they liked the video, dump the cd like a hot potato once they had it set as their ringtone and got sick of hearing it after the 3rd phone call from Chase, the ex-boyfriend with whom she went with to see Aerosmith because he recited the lyrics to "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" while they slow-danced at the Senior Prom, only to catch Chase making out with her ex-best friend Lacey underneath the bleachers at the big football rally the next week. Now everytime she hears any Aerosmith song, she gets into an uncontrolable fit of sobbing and she reaches for container of Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey, which she might as well finish off now anyway and she eats the pain of heartache and rejection away. She's too fat for her favorite jeans now and will never be able to find a guy as great as Chase ever, ever again, so what difference does it make. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Speaking of Don't Want To Miss A Thing, Albertsons plays the hell out of that song. Every single day I hear that song (which isn't even that good of an Aerosmith song IMO). I get angry because Aerosmith, CCR, and The Eagles have tons of hits but Alberstons plays the same song from each of those bands over and over again. | |
