| Well I grew up on Married with Children and while my father spent every night in the local pub (not an alcholic or anything, I'd say he wanted to get away from my mother !!) Al Bundy became my idol and role model (now you guys know why I'm screwed up) Did anyone else like Married with Children ? I have the entire DVD set here (something like 28 discs) and I truely can say that I never get tired looking at any of them. I know MWC was lost to a generation when friends came out but I couldn't stand Friends as it was too stupid in my opinion. so is there any other MWC Fans here ? What would Al do ? |

| Yes, my favorite show / TV character ever!!! Never liked friends hehe I've probably watched several episodes for 10+ times, since it's constantly repeated at least on 1 TV station around here. I'm watching the whole seasons now at college (instead of studiing ), but I'm doing it backwards - from Season 11 to Season 1 ) In my opinion the show got only better and better until the end! The first season was kinda ..."meh" "I work in a shoestore and I'm still not happy when I come home!" Is there a site with quotes from this show? (Especially Al's?) German thrashers Cockroach did a killer theme song Married with Children, in fact the whole cover of their demo is a homage to the show: | |

| "Friends was too stupid"??? Married with Children was the creator of stupid. of course, that's what i loved about it.
Applegate was one of the reasons that i watched tv at all as a teenager. mainly her & Holly Robinson from 21 Jumpstreet (another long lost Fox show). Al Bundy is also the reason i own a Dodge today. :D
i liked Friends too though. not at first, but my wife made me watch it with her & i got to liking it.
i just love TV period i guess. _________________

maybe so, but at least I think Married was better due to the fact of it being a family based show. Friends was just 5 muppets put in one room doing idiotic unbelievable stuff (my opinion). I think MWC got stronger when Steve (Marcy's first husband) left and Jefferson & Griff entered the show. There was so many classic episodes, but a some of mine are : 1 - When Al, Jefferson & Griff are Judges at the Spring Break. 2 - The episode where Jefferson get "Mary" tattoed on to him instead of "Marcy". 3 - When Al & Peggy spend Bud's college grant |

| I used to watch it faithfully every week when it was on and still watch it in reruns today. I need to get the DVDs when I get the chance.
My favorite episodes were the Anthrax one and the one where Al lost his car in the car wash and they find out his Dodge was actually red. |

| Loved Married With Children, one of my all time favorite shows. Anyone remember the show where they got snowed in together with Anthrax?!! Good schtuff!! Peggy Bundy (forgot her real name) also used to be a singer, and she is one of the background singers on Gene Simmons solo album from 1978! I know there existed an awesome fansite for Married With Children, with lots of clips, trivia, facts, and a complete list of episodes etc. Maybe it's stillthere... Google is our friend... _________________ | |

| Oh yea, I was a regular viewer of "Married: With Children" back in the day. Kelly Bundy was every guy's dream back then!! I had a poster of her on my wall!! Fave episode would have to be the one where Anthrax guested (Joey Belladonna to Peg as he kisses her hand: "I'm the hungry one") | |

| Actually, it was Marcy, Al and Peg were away at the time Anthrax were there.
Speaking of Mwc vs Friends, check out the "Enemies" episode!

:D D'OH! My bad. You are correct. It's been a while since I've seen that particular episode. I think I still have it on tape somewhere, it might be time to dust that one off and watch it again!

I saw her on one of the morning news shows in NYC a few months ago (where she was appearing in a Broadway show) and she still looked pretty good to me...

| Married With Children rocked until a little bit after Steve Rhodes left and then Marcy was single and a few shows into Jefferson being on there and that was it for me.It got too stupid after season 5. | |
