You all seem pretty smart. Take this on:
I want to get X-Box Live because I'm a game freak. Anyway, I need to know the bandwidth usage on it for playing games (download and upload in kbps). My roommate wants to use the computer unhindered so I need to make sure we'll still have room on it. Anyone who can help please respond. If you think this topic has no place on here, then go right on talking. That's why it's under 'Of Unsound Mind', because it in no way pertains to metal. Yeah, but seriously, if anyone knows, answer!!! :goodluck:

I really don't know what you mean but I run 3 computers in my house along with xbox of the same router. It never affects performance on the comps and I always have great connection online.

Thanks guys. MetalRob331, how much bandwidth does your internet give you? Mine, at max speed, gives only 1500, but normally it's around 750, which is a rip-off. Anyway, I don't know if my internet with two computers and me gaming would work.

It all depends on the games that you are playing, size of the maps, number of players and all that stuff. I can run my computer and 360 at the same time with very little problems, I don't know about two computers though. What are you going to be doing with the computers? Down loading Torrents?

If you want to try it for 2 days to see for free, PM me and I'll give you a code that I got in one of the games that I've bought that offers 48 hour Xbox Live Gold Membership, than you can see what happens and it won't cost you a dime.

Don't worry about that. I've still got the free one month promo they gave out with the xbox.

I have a relatively slow high speed connection, but have no problems using the Xbox with my computer. The only time bandwidth is an issue is when streaming movies from Netflix on the Xbox.

Go for COD4 or 5 much better gameplay then Halo 3, I never understood the fuss about Halo. Also 3 comps downloading. streaming, or doing whatever, still gives me great connection.

My wife gave me an Xbox 360 for my birthday last year. I suppose I ought to give Xbox Live a shot pretty soon but I'm not sure I'd get much mileage out of it for online play because the idea just doesn't interest me. Downloading some of those arcade games could be good, though.

Someone stole the hard drive out the back of my brother's 360, he blames my friends, but I suspect his since he has about 6 of them over every day.
