| Picked up some dvd's today... SNL: The Best of Jimmy Fallon Fever Pitch (starring Drew Barrymore & Jimmy Fallon) Taxi (also starring Jimmy Fallon) The Year Of Getting To Know Us (starring, well, you know) Next, I plan to take each dvd to a belt-grinder and hone the edges to razor-sharpness. After that, I'm going to get tickets to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. During his opening monolouge, I'm gonna whip the deadly dvds at him with ninja-like accuracy. In the ensuing blood-bath/confusion, I will make my daring escape, leaping through a glass window and winding down 30 floors to safety on my home-made glider wings, concealed under my trench coat. My mission must not fail. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. The accuracy of your plan is most impressive. However, if you were coming from the 30th floor wouldn't you descend only 29 floors? Maybe. My detailed floor-plans show that the program is taped before a live-studio audience on the 30th floor. It could, however take place on the 31st floor, thereby rendering all my plans utterly useless. *sigh* Back to the drawing board. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. I love their one and only CD 'The Front' had a slight Doors vibe to it, with a touch of LA sleeze. Cool to see another fan of this forgotten band. | |

| Bakers Pink was also a very cool album and I never understood why they changed their name, I may have to listen to those two albums soon, I used to play the hell out of that Front CD. | |

I think they got slagged on some for sounding too much like The Cult to some peoples ears, so maybe the name change was an attempt to create a new image? Just my theory. Anyway both albums are pretty entertaining. My favorite song was off the BP album, "Juliana". | |

I saw Bakers Pink open up for Great White years ago. Don't remember anything about them though. The only reason I remember that they were the opening band was the name. Bakers Pink was very, uh, fruity sounding. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | As it happens, "bakers pink" was a shade of color first used in the construction of prison during the 1920's, when it was widely believed that this particular shade would help keep inmates sane and calm. Instead, the color had the opposite effect, and drove many inmates insane!) _________________ "Oh man, I need TV? When I got T Rex"

Yea, I remember reading that in a big ad promoting the band in an old issue of RIP. I didn't follow them as The Front or Bakers Pink so I don't know the reason behind the name change. Did they ever explain why? Change in members or sound? By the way, Mr. Shiney, I think that Kid Sin disc may be heading your way. I've given it a few spins and while it's not bad, it sounds a bit dated to my ears. Not something I'd spin on a regular basis. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Nice! I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I'd heard Rumors Of War from it, and liked it a good deal, but album opener Fury Whip was a COMPLETE surprise! What a BEAST of a song!!! _________________ You're cancer, you can't be the answer, you're killing me
