Favorite Song Intro

Obviously, I'm a fan of "Runnin' With the Devil" and "Hot for Teacher," but I think the album version of "Time Your Mother Down" has one of the coolest guitar intros in heavy metal.

However, the most epic intro, in my opinion, is the intro to "Watcher of the Skies" by Genesis. Tony Banks's mellotron opening is probably one of the greatest instrumental parts in prog rock. Definitely epic.

I love the whole intro and especially the intro riff to "Raining Blood" by Slayer. Epic thrashfest mindfuck!

There are several AC/DC songs with instantly recognizable intros. How about the bell intro for Hells Bells?

Another one is the intro to Ozzy's "Crazy Train".

Intro to Fight Fire With Fire- Metallica. Realy nice and mellow, then Metallica hits with pure thrash!

Toho you are correct AC/DC have at least a dozen songs that open with an instantly recognizable intros like 'Thunderstruck' for example.

I love that song it is def my fav Rush song. I never really sat down and tried to play it, Playing Alex's leads are hard for me as he really isnt the smoothest lead guitar player he is very choppy. Love him though, his rhythms are so sweet.
