Favorite Dio song

I keep getting more specific. Now I want to know your favorite song by the archmage of metal.

Mine's "Feed My Head" from Magica. Gotta love that chorus.

Anyway, begin the postification process my Dio-monic minions.

I've always loved "We Rock"...such a soaring chorus!

From the Dio catalog, I'd say "All The Fools Sailed Away" (have I mentioned lately that DREAM EVIL is my favorite Dio album?)

But if we're branching out to favorite song of his whole career I'd have to say "Children of the Sea" from Black Sabbath's HEAVEN & HELL

I suppose we should go out to career.

PS: Dream Evil is my #3, mainly because of All the Fools Sailed Away. Harpsichord is highly underrated.

I really, really like "I Speed at Night".

The Last in Line is my favorite Dio song.
Heaven and Hell is the best song of his career.

Probably my favorite song would be Rainbow In The Dark, but because of the nostalgia factor, I might have to go with The Last In Line. I had a high school buddy, who lived with The Last In Line in his car, along with that of Sacred Heart. Many times we would be hanging out on my drive way, shooting hoops. Whenever my buddy would leave at night, he would throw in the title track, turn his stereo way up, put his car in neutral, and at the :53 second mark of the song, he would slam his car into drive, when Dio screamed out "HOME"! It never got old, and in my buddy's honor, we would flash the sign of the horns as he sped away down the street. My youth.....

I'm going to be the renegade here & say my favorite is actually "Time To Burn". I have that on an old cassette compilation, and it was my first real exposure to Dio, and I still love that song to this day. Great melody line in that one!

That's impossible, it's like asking me what my favorite molecule in the air to breathe is! What I can tell you is what is my least favorite; "Shoot, Shoot." That song brings the stock of that lp down, much in the same way one really bad inning can ruin a pitcher's ERA.

A great set of albums and so many memorable songs, but if I had to pick just one, it'd be Holy Diver.
