I think it was because REX got into financial strife and went under. At the time, there were only a limited number of Detritus CDs printed. this was also the case for a number of other releases on this label during the 90's. It's been 14 - 15 years since Rex went bust. Some of this stuff has never been picked up by other labels.

By the way can't you see that in EVERY thallos, pricekillers etc. auctions there's a copy of each cd? Does that mean that it's a rare cd? Surely no.

There's no need to believe something like that. If you still believe that thrash albums released in common labels with appearences every week on ebay are "rare" AND "expensive" it's up to you. Of course thallos' auctions are overpriced but sometimes they end without bids so just bid & get those "rare" cds for $50. These are different words "rare" & expensive... That's why the silly bidding wars on some of those I guess like the Japanese Death Angel cds... I'm sure then, you call some indies as ultra mega hyper rare... Cool

Most I ever paid was about $30. It was new and a double disc, but I can't remember what band it was. I did that when I was younger and wouldn't pay more than $18 or so for ANY CD these days. I can find most of what I want for $15 and under.
