| What is the most money you have ever paid for a CD? I bought Discerning the Times by Broken Silence off of eBay for $65! It's a hard to find Christian metal CD that was produced by David Zaffiro back in the early 90's. I guess the testosterone levels were just high that day because I was so determined to get it. I had seen it as high as $100. SIXTY FIVE freakin' dollars!!!! Ok, it's a pretty good CD but SIXTY FIVE freakin' dollars!!!! IDIOT! | |

| With shipping, I paid $30 for the S/T by The Angels. That's the most I've ever spent. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Not including boxsets I have spent the most for a CD is $35 for a Y & T-Black Tiger on CD, looking back I wonder why I had spent so much on a CD on a band that I am not a huge fan of, but on the bright side it is one of their better albums. | |

| I refuse to pay more than $40 for a single CD.
Which is why I always get outbid for the Joanna Dean disc on Ebay. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I had read that men and eBay are a bad combo. It's like hunting, the testosterone kicks in and they have to get the prize even if they pay way more than they should. Women on the other hand, do not have many eBay issues. Stupid eBay. | |

| Most of my high dollar CDs are multiple disc sets. I paid $75 for Aerosmith's King's Chronicles, but it's a 6 disc collection and quite rare.
Frankly, I'm just patient and eventually I find most of my CDs for well under $20. Even the most rare CDs in my collection have come fairly cheap.
Even on Ebay, if you can be patient eventually you can get stuff cheap. I don't do bidding wars very often. I bid what I want to pay. If it goes over that, well, then the other person obviously wanted it more than me and can have it. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

I usually will not pay more than $20 or $25. I have let go of lot of cool bootlegs because I refuse to pay more than $25, no matter how much a band means to me.

| I think I paid Vordul a honeybee for Statue - Comes to Life. Other than that, $50 for Viking - Man of Straw years ago. But it is still one of my favorite albums ever and worth every cent. |

| Most I've ever paid for a single CD was in 1995, when I laid out $42.95 for a Japanese import of Raven's DESTROY ALL MONSTERS - LIVE IN JAPAN disc. It hurt like hell but at the time the CD was only available in Japan and I had a complete Raven discography that I had to keep current. About five years later I was looking thru a bunch of clearance import CDs in Tower Records and lo and behold, I found that damn thing again, marked down to $7.99! OUCH!! That was the highest I ever paid, I also paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $35 for Raven's EVERYTHING LOUDER when it first came out in Japan and $29.99 apiece for their ARCHITECT OF FEAR and HEADS UP! CDs. Being a Raven fan in the US during the 90s was frickin EXPENSIVE! Haha. When my brother and I met John Gallagher at a Raven show in 1995, my bro sez to him "You gotta talk to my brother, he's your biggest fan, you wouldn't believe how much money he's spent on your stuff over the last couple of years." Thankfully other than those exceptions, I'm a pretty cheap bastardo so the majority of my CDs have cost me under $25. I remember paying $22 for Vicious Rumors' DIGITAL DICTATOR at a Record/CD swap meet about fifteen years ago and thinking that was a lot, but I'm told that one now goes for somewhere in the $50-60 range on eBay so I guess it was a pretty good deal after all. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

...prices like that are the main reason that these days I only have a CD-R of that particular album. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I've jumped on those silly trends a few times and SOLD CDs when the prices were high. When P.O.D. got popular all of the sudden, I put up the 2 albums and EP I had and they sold for around $40 each. Funny thing is, a few months later the first two albums were re-released on CD. LOL! That happen A LOT! Patience pays sometimes. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

...Nothin' wrong with making a few bucks off of people dumb enough to spend $40 for P.O.D. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

That happened to me with Scorpions' "Taken By Force" album. For some reason, that particular disc wasn't available on CD in the US for forever. I finally scored a Japanese import of Animal Magnetism B/W Taken By Force for about $25. I swear it wasn't a week later that somebody issued Taken By Force here. Now the darn thing is going for about $5 on Amazon zshops. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| For a single cd? Probably $25 or less and that was years ago. I'm a cheap-a$$. I don't think I've spent more than $15 on any cd in the last 6 or 7 years, especially when I started going on e-bay. I usually cap out at $10 anymore these days. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Back in the early 90s I paid $30-35, I can't remember exactly, for a bootleg Metallica CD. It had both the studio demos from 82 on it. Stupid. But I have sold CDs on ebay for over $100 before. I don't get it. I've sold demo tapes for that much also. I could never afford that. | |

| The most I have spent on a single CD was $40.00 for an autographed copy of L.A. Guns Hollywood Vampires in an auction over the radio once. I felt pretty stupid after I did it too. I have spent more on box sets than that but not single disks | |

I'm not much into spending big bucks on CDs.....

Nowadays, for $40, I think you can get most of LA Guns to come play at your house, wash your car and take out the trash when they leave. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was.
