Hmm... been giving some of their stuff some more listens off and on. I still think it's below average, but I could see them doing a stadium tour now and still sell out.

Piss on you! Haha.
And hate me all you want, but I think Significant Other is a great album. And Wes Borland is a brilliant guitarist. I don't like their debut much. Too generic. Their other albums are good, though.
Glad someone else thinks the same of Wes. Chocolate Starfish has my fav song of all the albums

That's because Mike Patton is too far up his own ass, trashing band likes Wolfmother for playing "old" music. All this, while Patton is giving interviews about his 1920's classical music. Haha. What a tool.
Oh, and Jim Martin is growing giant pumpkins.

It comes down to what someone thinks is awesome. I certainly do not find music that I feel compelled to hop up and down to "awesome", but many people do. That whole movement never appealed to me.

Man when it comes to Limp Bizkit the bashing really comes out. The guys in Bizkit are some very talented guys regardless of the band they're in. Sam Rivers is a great bass player and John Otto is one heck of a jazz influenced drummer.
As far as the comment on Wes have you heard any of his other bands? Listen to Big Dumb Face Wes does some awesome things on guitar. Darkness Becomes is one killer metal song.
In fairness Metalrob I have only heard Wes on those Limp Bizkit albums, so I have no idea what he may sound like outside the band, as musician they maybe more talented then the material they represent but their music is subpar, maybe a song here or there but overall their music is very disposable.

Darkness Becomes IMO is Wes at his best one killer metal song and has me wondering why he doesn't stay that route.

Probably a matter of making a living, Limp Bizkit offers the possability of being a huge money making machine, while his Darkness Becomes is his project he does for passion and self expression and not cash.

i've never heard these guys but I've never heard a good thing about them so I think I will keep it that way. Heavy music is just fine. Now heavy popular music has sucked for a long time but those in the know know the best stuff is just hidden under the surface.

That was a simple mistake. At least I've heard enough Led Zeppelin to voice an opinion. You clearly haven't listened to very much Limp Bizkit. Dislike their music all you want, but Sam Rivers is an outstanding bassist and Wes Borland is a brilliant guitarist.
You'll also note that while I said Bonham--because he was who I was thinking of at the time--was overrated, I also added that I just can't appreciate him like others can. My generation had drummers like Gene Hoglan (who wipes the floor with Bonham).

Comparing a thrash drummer to Bonham...you might as well be talking about different instruments, it's a COMPLETELY different aesthetic.

I wasn't aware that Gene was a thrash drummer.

Unfortunately i was force fed most of their songs on the radio in the late 90's.

Are you serious?? Bonham was a early 70's rock drummer, Hoglan 80's thrash...
