Blind Guardian - A Twist In The Myth

In my opinion Blind Guardian are an excellent band. They developed their music continuously. Their first albums where killer speed metal, and then they improved more and more the power metal term. I think this is good, because I don’t want a band to make the same album again and again. Of course not everybody can follow every direction the band took. Luckily I can. With the Twist album they have again changed their music, it is different than Opera. I like the Twist album very much, in my opinion it is one of the best of the last year.

But I sthink Blind Guardian is a great band, and A Twist in the Myth is one of my favourites from last year. Never understood why so many are complaining about A Night At the Opera. Imo it`s not their best but still a good album.

I thought that twist in the myth was an excellnt release...

certainly not what i was expecting after a 5 year hiatus from the studio, but never the less... an excellent album

I really like Twist in the Myth. It was better than Night at the Opera but not up to par with some of their earlier albums like Somewhere Far Beyond or Tales from the Twilight World.

As much as I wanted to like this one, I just can't get into it. Although it is better than the last one.

I guess I'm one of the few people which like the new album. Its light years ahead of the previous one which I cannot stand at all, yuck.

In fact I find the new one even better than NIME and inferior only to 1990, 92, and 95

The song "FLY" alone makes this album stand out from the other ones.
