They do this every year. Please tell me they are not closing down. They are an awesome site and Denis has been a great supporter of my band.

No no no, the CD's in this particular sale are "close outs" -- as far as I know (at least), Sentinel Steel itself is not closing down.

They have my albums by TRAMPELD UNDERFOOT ($9.98 ) and K-OCTAVE ($11.98 ) at Sentinel Steel...if anyone is interested.

I don't see any money from them...but I know some people still ask where they can get these releases.

I guess I usually think of those as "cut-outs".

I've never ordered from here. How are they service-wise? Stuff in stock? Reasonable shipping costs/time? Any problems with then in general?

I've only ordered from S.S. one time but it was totally painless. Denis (Sentinel Steel guy) is a straight up dude.

I picked up a couple of items from Denis earlier!

I emailed him about one (not in the closeout section).

I've bought from Den SEVERAL times over the years. Always a stand-up dude. He ships fast, is always honest about condition, etc. He's also more than reasonable in the price department. I have gotten some fairly rare stuff from him for UBER cheap prices (Razor - Shotgun Justice for $9.99 leaps to mind).

Yea, no kidding. I see numerous things on those close-out pages that I'd like to have, but if I put any more $ on the credit card right now, my wife will (as I'm so fond of saying) staple my nuts to my forehead.

So though I may not be able to indulge in these goodies for the moment, I figured I'd spread the news to my troo mettle brothas and sistas up in here so they can partake, knum'sayin'?

I hear you man. They are even worse now. I heard newer songs on their myspace page and it just seems like Axehammer lost its fire.

Den is way cool. Always shoot him an e-mail first before ordering. He's something of a one-man show so he doesn't always have the site completely up to date. You don't want to order something that is out of stock.

Denis is very cool. He is really friendly and once he gets to know you he can point you to some stuff you may not have heard before. I have been buying from him for what seems an eternity and he is top notch the whole way!

A few years back I was on the hunt for a certain band, but couldn't remember the name of them. All I knew is that way back in the day, I had drawn this band's album cover or something from a magazine. For whatever reason, the image popped into my head one random day, and I wanted to know who the band was. I thought I'd owned the album, but couldn't remember.

All I could remember was that the picture was of some cyborg type thing (think Robocop), and it's arms were outstretched. In one hand was a flame, and in the other was a baby. That's all I could remember. I asked on a ton of metal forums, places that had some hardcore metal fans. No one knew it.

A year goes by and I asked Denis. He answered it in like three seconds. Haha. Anyone know the band I'm talking about?

Sure. They were the Flaming Baby Cyborgs, out of Kenosha, WI.

There are like 30 albums on my list from that site that are for less than 8 bucks
