- Metallica came on and of course all the sound problems were fixed except James' vocals were a little low, other than that they were great, awesome even!
His vocals sounded low/muffled when I saw them too. Glad you enjoyed it though. While my rampant fan-boy days of Metallica are long gone, it's still fun to see a great metal show in a packed arena. Not many bands these days that can still pull in a big crowd. At least not in the States. Lucky Europeans and their festivals. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | The funny thing is I just got the download for the show and his vocals sound clear and louder haha. I was hoping they would fix that. Yea we got Phantom Lord. I didnt expect that. I also wasnt really expecting Stone Cold Crazy I would have swapped that for another song or another cover since im not really crazy about that one. Another thing I forgot to mention is how much different they are now compared to how they were on the live sh*t binge and purge. Just about every thing James said on that had the F word in it and lastnight I barely heard him curse maybe only once or twice. It was funny cause Machine Head was cursing up a storm and my friend was like everything they say is F this F that and I was like wait til Metallica comes on they are worse and they werent haha. I guess his anger is really gone haha. _________________ | |

The night I saw them, 2 little blond girls in protective ear-wear were running around on stage during the soundchecks and in-between band sets. Rumor is that they were James' kids. If not his, they were definately related to someone in the band, judging by the way they had free range to run all over the place. If that's the case, I could see why daddy tuned down the cussin'. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | OK, so I saw the show @ Prudential Center in Newark last night... and I am pleased to report that Metallica can still WHOOP some SERIOUS ass live. I had a great time getting back in touch with my inner Teenage Metal Fanboy. I will post a full review and a couple of crappy cell phone pix later today or tomorrow if I have time! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Well from my end I like Metallica less and less with each passing year. Having been in my late teens, early 20's when they were something special and were still playing at small venues, its just been all downhill since. The music changed, then the haircuts, then the music changed some more, then the music got down right pathetic, then the music got a little better, but only a little, as there was nowhere else to go but up. James's voice does not sound the least bit like it did on the first few albums, band members changed around. I like a 1-D band, when you have got it right leave it alone. My wife bought me a 2 hr Metallica video and nice hard cover book a few years ago for Christmas, if and when they ever rekindle my interest I might bother to have a look at my Christmas presents. | |

| I love how they're changing up the setlists every night! Thanks for the great review! They don't necessarily play Creeping Death every gig anymore, do they? I hope they'll play it at the ATL gig, anyway! | |
