| I love Tygers of Pan Tang. I have both "Spellbound" and "Crazy Nights". I much prefer Deverall's vocals to that of Cox (who was the lead singer on Wild Cat). Not to mention the fact that Sykes is both on the aforementioned albums! | |

"Crazy Nights" is a great album! Hugely underrated. It sort of begins the bands transition to a more commercial sound, but it still has all the ingredients for rock solid NWOBHM.

All For One is the best by Raven, IMHO What he said. Nahhhh, much like Venom and Anvil, the first three Raven albums are all essential listening. Rock Til you Drop, Wiped Out and All For One are all prime NWOBHM.
I'm also partial to Nothing Exceeds like Excess and Architect of Fear. Heck I pretty much like their whole catalog, but you can't go wrong with any of these listed. Just make sure that The Pack is Back is the last Raven album you hear and not the first. Don't forget the EP 'Crash Bang Wallop'... Looks like I need to pick up Wynchfinde .....

Looks like I need to pick up Wynchfinde ..... Crash Bang Wallop is essential for sure. Witchfynde is pretty cool. They fit nicely into that weird NWOBHM-doom sub-style that originated here, with guys like Witchfinder General and Pagan Altar. Their music is very technical and somewhat progressive and so lacks a bit of the sheer raw power you'd find in the aforementioned bands.

Heavy pettin is a fantastic band. I have been listening to them for years. Good call on this album.

On Through the Night is a great album! I do think that is is the lesser to the mighty High 'N' Dry. but it is much better than anything else I have ever heard from them.

| Just picked up the deluxe edition of Lightning To The Nations, thank God someone finally remastered this, the metal blade version always sounded horrible. | |

| Metal Blade did indeed butcher Lighting To The Nations. The deluxe edition is great. | |
