There it is. Yep! Another $15 down the drain to Stormspell... At least this is a good push to the next milestone in my CD collection. Before today I was 8 CDs away from 3200. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Wow...in other words about 10x my comfortable limit. Yet I don't even have half the collection of people like Eyesore, Saxon or Ult. My idols. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

It happens. I have at least 5 CDs I know of that I've never listened to; one is still in shrink wrap. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

That's exactly my issue. I not only want to listem to them, if they're good I want to listen over and over. If they're not good they're gone! If someone sleeps 6 hours/night (a low-ish total) and listens to one CD per every waking hour for 6 months that would be just about right on with your 3200 CDs Toho. I don't want to visit my cds just twice a year. I would be sad.

Put the calculator away, Fireboy. It's more depressing when I figure out how much money my collection has cost me. 3200 CDs at and average of about $10 apiece...YIKES!!!! _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Math's O.K if you break it down. I actually thought, while peeing, 18 x 30 = 540 x 6 = 3240 (instead of the more unwieldy 18x180). It's kind of a parlor trick, but my Dad used to parade me around relatives to do math in front of them. Once upon a time I was darn near freaky and these days I'm out of practice, but still good with the basics. You know what led to it? Sports stats. It's all math. I love stats and math goes hand in hand with stats. Spelling, however, haunts me. I'm forever spell checking and looking up words.

| I'm the exact opposite. English is easy to me, despite what how I type here. Math is uncharted territory for my brain. I retain nothing that I learn in the area of math. |

I'm good with the basics (multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction) but apart from that (except for basic algebra-not counting word problems) I'm dumber than a sack of hair.

Isn't that funny how we humans are? You just described my wife. She's excellent in languages and likes them, but struggles with my daughter's 3rd grade math homework. I'm the exact opposite and hardly bother helping Brianna with any language oriented homework. If I help her she'll end up being labeled "special needs".

| Definitely put me in the language category. I've always sucked at math yet writing and words have always come easily to me, probably because I was a voracious reader as a kid. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Put the calculator away, Fireboy. It's more depressing when I figure out how much money my collection has cost me. 3200 CDs at and average of about $10 apiece...YIKES!!!! I've done this, and it's insane! Especially when you consider when I check my savings account online it shows a tumbleweed. |

My brain shuts down when it comes to math. In school, I'd watch the teacher show how a problem is solved on the chalkboard. No problem, I'd think. Because it was easy. But when I'd look at the problem myself, it made no sense. Haha. When I got older I noticed that if I didn't think about it, I could rattle off the answer. Even on complex math problems. But the second I consciously think about it, it's over. No deal. My brain says, "F*ck this. I quit." |
