Virgin Black

I know there is at least one other fan of these guys. Who else? Best way to describe them is a dark operatic mix of black, death, and doom metal. One wouldn't know it because of thier very poetic lyrics and dark imagery, that the members are actually of the Christian faith, though they don't make it a focal point of their music. In other words, they leave it up to the individual listener to take from the lyrics what they will. Pretty awesome stuff but not something just for background music.

I like everything I've heard from them, but don't own any of it yet...great band!

I would throw in the goth influence as well, have all their releases, great stuff!

Exactly how I feel about them. Their albums are definatly a work-out to listen to.

Awesome band!! Saw them open for Amorphis and Samael a couple of months ago. Met the band at their merch table and they were all incredibly nice.
