Tenacious D & The Pick Of Destiny

OK, I knew going in that this movie was going to have some CRUDE humor...and it did...lots of it. (No nudity, no overtly sexual-towards-women moments, just a LOT of crude, 14-year-old penis/fart humor.)

All that aside, I had to see it cuz I love Jack Black and the Tenacious D album is FUNNY!!

Man, I do not remember the last time I laughed THAT hard!! My son (13) and I both watched it in his room and we were CRYING laughing at this thing!! Its almost like a musical, cuz there are several parts where JB & KG break out in song. Like I said, plenty of crudeness & F-bomb usage (in a "teenager-first-learing-how-to-cuss" sort of way). They also had an affinity for the "C-word" (aka a Rooster). But I gotta tell you...this movie if FREAKIN' FUNNY!!!!!

My son wanted to buy it afterwards...I did manage to draw the line there. I told him, "It was funny once...but I don't think I want you watching it over & over". He was cool with that...but he was STILL cracking up at scenes from it 2 days after seeing it.

Anyway, if you can tolerate swearing & "potty humor" (no "porn humor" ala American Pie...more like South Park-lite), rent it.

I can't wait to see it myself. I've seen the DVD they have out, and I love the music.

Great movie

It's great! The highlight for me was when Dio came out of the poster! I had to show my daughter that one scene since she's a big fan!!

It's a great film. I remember before I saw it in the cinema, me and some friends had spent like 2 weeks abusing the album that supports it, so we ended up quietly singing along to everything in the cinema. I saw it on DVD again last week and it's still decent, although without the music I think it'd be very average.

great movie... funniest film i've seen in a long while

God, I loved this movie. Music was incredibly awesome, especially the beginning with kid JB and his guitar. And when Dio comes out of that poster, just awesome. SEE THIS MOVIE IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY!

I'd love to see it but the wife has no tolerance for silly comedy so I'll have to wait until I have an evening to myself to check it out...

I probably would've seen it..... but my two boys 14, 15 saw it and told me there was a lot of potty humor... saw it at their mom's house I think....

fast forward 14 years old b-day party... they have a garage band and they played one of those tunes.... unedited......... I hadn't heard it b4... neither had their mom or grandmother.....

I suppose you're all laughing.... oh well... I'm left wondering were did I miss the boat in value judgements... this is a recent happening.... eh today as a matter of fact.... sigh....

I was very disappointed in the movie. It is cool to here people liked it though

I thought it was pretty funny.
