Dallas, you overanalyze things. Stop thinking about things so much. Just do it.

I didn't go to mine and don't regret it. Why would I want to spend a few hours with people I avoided for ten years? But, it's up to you.

Thanks for the advice guys, I think I have decided to go. On one hand, the guys I was on the wrestling team with would like to know about our fallen teammate. Also it would be nice to catch up with them. I met a few briefly over the years but didn't have a whole lot of time to catch up. On another hand, I don't do much socializing. I haven't been to church in 3 weeks, I don't have much friends, and I don't go to many social gatherings. Though I didn't know many, this could be a good opportunity to meet new friends as well as old ones. Who knows, I could meet my future wife Laughing . My decision now hinges on more people RSVPing. So far there have only been 3 RSVPs and it's only a couple of weeks away. There have been no declines however, over 200 people have not replied yet.

What if you go and none of the wrestling team is there? Razz

You should go. I'm sure your teammates will appreciate that you came to tell them of the loss of their friend. In fact of all the reasons people go to reunions that is about the most noble I've ever heard.

I actually liked both high school and college but would probably never attend a reunion. Most people I know seemed to attend to either a) find closure on something that bothered them all those years (and are then bitter when whoever never came) or b) those where the best years of life and want to recapture some of that. Of course then there is also the old favorite of just going to brag. I always figure the memories and people I've stayed friends with is enough for me personally.

It aint gonna happen. There are still only 3 people who are going (plus 2 guests, 5 in all) and I don't know any of them and it's in in one week. The idiot that put this together only gave everybody three weeks notice. An event like this needs a lot more notice than that and I'm not suprised that it fell through. Thanks for the advise but unfortunatly it's all moot.

Haha, I didn't even know about it until I heard about it from a high school friend who's on Facebook -- they sent me a message saying "are you going to the reunion?" I'm like "What reunion?" Turns out the invite had been sent to my Mom's house because that was the last address they had for me. My Mom sez "I threw it away because I figured you wouldn't be interested." I sez "Good call." Evil or Very Mad
