| Ok this is a little interesting but then again do we really need this? These songs have been on countless compulations now they are just in order of who sung them. I dont think i'll be buying this one. I got the Kiss Best cd last week where they went and redone older songs and that was pretty good and worth what I paid for it. I love KISS I have their toys all their albums, box sets but This is just rediculous. "IKONS", a four-CD collectors' package showcasing the iconic prominence each KISS member contributed to the hottest rock 'n' roll band in the world, is scheduled for release on October 21. The packaging for "IKONS" is outstanding, featuring a 24-page booklet filled with classic KISS photos. The actual KISS "IKONS" and the "IKONS" logo on the box cover are printed in silver foil. Pictured below: The top image is the cover of the box and the lower image is the actual cover of the booklet. "Gene Simmons" CD: 01. God Of Thunder02. Almost Human03. Calling Dr. Love04. | "That's The Kind of Sugar Papa Likes" and "I Finally Found My Way" on the same CD?? That's practically the Anti-Life Equation right there. Putting those two songs so closely together could cause the universe to implode!! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| How come there's no "Vinnie Vincent IKONS" or "Tommy Thayer: IKONS" discs in this set? _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Shouldn't the Peter Criss CD be an EP, or maybe a CD single? |

I'm making my own Mark St. John IKON disc. Do you ever get the impression that Gene & Paul would like to wipe the Vinnie Vincent years from existence? Pretend they never happened?

| The funny thing is. They always say people dont want to hear new stuff from them, but do they think people want to keep buying all these comps from them with most of them almost having the same identicle songs just in different orders? Id much rather have another new Kiss album whether it sucked or not. They cant say they wouldnt make any money from it either cause if they can keep making money by doing things like this month after month im sure a new album would sell if not better than these comps. Do they not think that Tommy and Eric can make any good songs with them or something? If I was Eric I would have left by now, but I guess the money is just that good haha. I read not too long ago that he doesnt want to keep playing drums much longer. It would be a shame if he waisted his last couple years playing with Kiss. Someone should start a petition on stopping this compilation crap. | |

| Oh, and as long as people download, and steal music, then these compilations is the ONLY thing the artists will make money from. _________________ | |

| This would actually be a cool idea.... If it was done 15-20 years ago before every new year brought us a new KISS comp. What's with the spelling? German release? - Fat Freddy wrote:

[url=http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/kiss#Compilation http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/kiss#Compilation[/quote[/url]] Looks like more comps than actual studio albums. There's your problem.

| Eric Singer is also playing drums for Alice Cooper, I would guess between the Coop and KISS he won't need to play drums much longer unless he really wants to.
I'll probably buy this too. Just for the packaging if nothing else. Then I have been a KISS fan from the nearly beginning (1975).

| I am huge Kiss fan but I have my limits as far as how many comps I will buy, I already have Double Platinum Killers Smashes, Thrashes, and Hits Greatest Kiss Very Best of Kiss You Wanted the Best great band but unit they release a comp of unreleased tracks or if they release the Japan only release of their re-recorded classics, or even another live album I am done, Kiss isn't the only band guilty of releasing comp album after comp album, take a look at The Doors and Scorpions discography. Clueless record labels insist on releasing these endless greatest hits album after album, devaluing the catlog for newer fans in the process, at least in IMO. After alll why spend the money on promoting the newset disc from Kiss or any other veteran band when you can keep repackaging the same old material over and over. | |

| Great point, Manny. It certainly does devalue the catalogue of a classic rock band. As someone stated above, I too would much rather hear a new album from Kiss than another rehashing and repackaging of classics from 30 years ago. Just my 2 pennies. Peace. | |

| Oh, another thing. A friend recently let me borrow their Rock The Nation double Live album. This particular concert was recorded local at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield Mass. and my buddy was there. I liked it and went to purchase my own copy from the local Newbury Comics and they were out. However, they had 5 other versions of the same concert recorded all over the United States. On one hand, it's a neat thing to be able to purchase the exact concert you saw, but on the other hand, they (Kiss or faceless record exec) is trying to get the Army members to buy 5 (or more?) of the same CD. You know as well as I do, that there are people who have done this. | |
