Check out Dog Eat Dog. It OWNS this album....
Arttie DED is an awesome album indeed. My favorite song is Bitter Pill by far.

| I like DED but I still think I prefer Cherry Pie. If only that awful title track wasn't on it... _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

that he can't get over the substance abuse problem. Yeah, he's one of the best songwriters to come from that line of music. Warrant always delivered killer ballads. - arttieTHE1manparty wrote:

| I am seeing them next week with Trixster. Totally looking forward to seeing Robert Mason. So I am pleased that this happened when it did. See ya in "Heaven", Jani [wink]. |

| I saw them back in the early 90s at an outdoor venue. It was dang cold and the band was freezing up on stage. Jani started knocking back shots and before you knew he was pretty hammered. The show went off well enough but it seemed to turn into a jam session more than structured performance. Seems as if he is more inclined to this behavior than not anymore. Too bad it came to this a lot of people were happy to see him back in front of Warrant. I get the feeling that this is probably his last chance with these guys.
Their new album Devils Brew is pretty good. I wonder how the new guy will do with Jamie's and Jani's music or if Warrant will have to re-invent themselves again.

- It's not just the selling out of bigger venues in favor of smaller ones like I wrote above, but also, as spectre alludes to, is the lack of the bank account and material possessions that haunts some of these guys. I am certainly not saying that every rock star from the eighties is broke and doing a menial job somewhere, cuz there are still the millionaires like Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Megadeth that were big 20 years ago and still are the same way today. But, I am sure that this as well haunts some guys. Peace.
Some of those guys who had success, saved their money from the hair metal. I know Michael Foster from Firehouse's brother. Marginal band, but he saved his money and did things right. They still release music and tour. My point is, just because you were in a smaller band, doesn't mean you are a poor drunken slob. |

| Homeboy with the sword avatar talking about the mind screws that happen to former glory musicians I think is right. Every band I've interviewed, from small to actually successful like Lacuna Coil and Nightwish ask me what I'm doing. When I tell them I'm in college every single one says DO NOT STOP SCHOOL. I plan on being an A & R rep one day but if smurfing Marco Hietela is telling me to stay in school to get a degree, I'll take his advice.
One of the things that Cristiano from Lacuna told me was that despite their success now they don't know how long it is going to last. He said he was actually kind of wondering how he'll be in fifteen years, if he'll still have the money. And if he doesn't what is he going to do?

| I met Jani when he was touring solo in the late 90's and he seemed like a nice guy but a decadent one at that because he took off to a dark corner in the parking lot with a groupie soon after i took a picture with him. | |

| Not a fan at all but I found this amusing: Warrant posted the following note on their blog tonight: Warrant was founded on the notion that any press is good press, and for that, we would like to thank AOL, Perez Hilton andTMZ for their continued front page cover stories regarding Jani Lane. When you run your next update, please note that he is NOT the singer in Warrant. With the exception of a failed 11 show reunion in 2008, he has not been affiliated with Warrant in over 7 years. To all of the promoters and ticket holders for our upcoming shows, please know that Robert Mason “the” lead singer of Warrant, along with original band members Joey Allen, Jerry Dixon, Steven Sweet and Erik Turner, will not be in jail and are ready to rock and roll as scheduled. If you (the press) are going to run these stories, please spell our names correctly and get the facts straight. Also, please mention our web site, warrantrocks.com, as we can always use some extra web traffic. Thanks for the free support. Warrant | |
