| Do you think Pantera would have reformed by now? Or ever? I think they would have eventually, maybe not this soon however. | |

| It's hard to say, IMO. Phil seems very hard to work with. | |

| I would of ventured more to a reunion with Terry Glaze before Phil ? The fun factor seems more plausable than putting up with a major malfunction. | |

| Dime wouldn't/didn't need Phil. His influence along with whatever other influences caused the band to quickly turn into icky gr00vecore/redneckcore, and besides he left to create something even more enamoured with stupidity. Maybe Dime would have gotten to his senses, stopped naming himself after pot rations, and worked on an instrumental guitar album sort of thing instead. | |

| Tough call. Phil seems to have mellowed considerably, and whether or not Dime's passing had anything to do with that I don't know. If it DOESN'T, and Phil has just toned things down, a Pantera reunion could have been possible. Arttie | |

RTS was an awesome album imo. I doubt if they reunited.

That's what I was thinking. No slight on the man in the least, but we seem to make icons of people who die young and ignore the living.

| I read in Guitar World he was going to make an album with Zakk Wylde and EVH! That would have been awesome! |

| I am sure Pantera would have reformed at some point in the future, in a world where the Police can reform, and the cold war between David Lee Roth and Edward Van Halen can end, than I am sure Pantera would have reunited sometime in the future but sadly we will never know. | |

Let's let Dimebag rest in peace. I'm not a fan of "what if's" once it's done and over. Pantera reforming would not change the world.

| I am alone here i guess. I for one find Phil to be one of the hardest guys to work for because of the ego. This guy wasnt even the main guy in Pantera but still thinks he is the best frontman ever in metal.
Dime and Vinnie went out of there way to make sure they didnt have to speak to Phil. Most bands dont have a relationship that bad and are at least in contact between managers or friends.
The relationship to me was beyond fixing and with Dime and Phil doing there own things i never really even thought there was a chance.

| If Dimebag hadn't died, Damageplan would still be playing sh*tty clubs and would've probably been dropped from their label by now. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I also read that Dime was having problems with Pat Lachman because he wouldn't sing Pantera songs which Dime knew was his main bread and butter with the audience.

| If Dime hadn't died, I probably would've never got into metal. the radio station i heard the news on played three Pantera songs and that got me hooked on metal outside of Metallica and Megadeth. I think Pantera probably would've reformed and toured for like 2 months before they broke up again, maybe Dime and Vinnie would try to reunite Rebel Meets Rebel. that album was sick! or maybe he would've finally taken Dave up on his 18 year old offer to join Megadeth. That would friggin RULE! |
